Overall, I had a great stay. The design of the hotel was stylish and thoughtfully curated—modern, with a sophisticated color palette that I really loved. The only downside was the noise from the room above. Every late night and early morning, I could clearly hear footsteps overhead, and even the ceiling light fixture in my room would rattle with a metallic or glass-clinking sound. It was quite unsettling and affected my rest. If the sound insulation between floors could be improved, it would make the experience so much better. That said, the aesthetic of the space was beautiful, and I truly appreciated the hotel’s unique and elevated design.

The Lloyd Hoxton was great—beautiful design, helpful staff, and close to a tram that could take you to central station. For families, they even had a play area with mud kitchen! The breakfast buffet was delicious and good value for the cost. My room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and very nice. I do wish they offered a bathrobe and slippers for guests. The only real downsides to me were that the WIFI in my room wasn't as strong as I'd hope. For example, FaceTime calls were spotty. As a first-time visitor, I also found it a bit of a trek to get to some of the tourist attractions and wish I stayed more central (the other Hoxton was all booked up). I'd recommend staying at this location if it's not your first time in Amsterdam and you want to be in a less touristy area. Still, lovely hotel, helpful staff, and good value overall.

Our stay at the Hoxton Lloyd was really special. We loved the decorations, cleanliness, and the staff were very courteous and accommodating. The restaurant and bar was really nice too. The hotel is walking distance from the tram which makes it convenient for getting to all the landmarks in Amsterdam. If you are traveling with a person who needs more assistance just be aware that the building does not have rails or ramps at the front entrance.

Room great Breakfast great Dinner. Disaster. 1 course not cooked properly. 20 minute gap between 1 plate arriving and the next. 2 hours between being seated and eating. Initally inadequate response to what was really bad situatuon. Next morning F&B manager was very good however and finally resolved situation more adequately. 1 lift out of service whole time we were at hotel so took 15 minutes to get out in the morning. Staff friendly in general but more training needed for tgose innthe restaurant.
