It was quiet, clean and cozy. Con was that you had to take a taxi if you didn’t have a personal vehicle. Nothing was in walking distance.

Great place to stay for the price. It was close to the airport and the owner was very friendly and quick to respond when I had a question. I would stay here again!

Always a lovely stay. The neighborhood is quiet and a nice place to walk. The kitchen is well stocked with good food and facilities to make meals on your own. Beds are comfy.

This property was a great find. Very quiet and convenient. My teenage son and I had a great overall experience. Made getting around easy. Saw several folks using ride apps so it’s very accessible to everything. We were able to come and go as needed and breakfast was easy. I was able to work in the common area while my kid slept and didn’t affect others.

Perks: Location, ease of check in and owner response to need Cons: the broken-down motorhome in the driveway was not a professional business site, the bed was like sleeping on a box spring and the outdated decor is in need of some tlc.

Thank you leaving a review and noting that I personally respond to every communication. I'm sorry our rv bothered you. It's not broken down, we use it all summer, and for the winter we park it in our driveway. We live here, above the garage, it allows us to help guests quickly but there will be evidence of our family from time to time. Thanks for the info on the bed, we have already ordered all new matresses, we are awaiting their arrival in early May 2024.If you are ever in the area again we'd love to host you and see if you like the new beds.Safe travels!

This would be a good place to stay for a large family or group needing multiple rooms in one place for an extended stay. It had an accessible kitchen as well.

We've stayed here in the recent past and it was good, convenient near airport. This time we noticed cobwebs, dust on fan blades, etc and most important, the door knob to our room was about to fall off. The place needs cleaning and maintenence.

A Jewel on Jewel Lake Road
This is a sweet little place, my only reason for giving it less than five star for comfort is that we didn't know how to turn on the heat in our room or turn it up, and there was no instructions that there was an electronic fireplace actually in our room under the TV We stayed in the Aurora room, really cute and well appointed otherwise. We would definitely stay here again.

The service and room was terrible. The bed sheet in the room was unchanged and fill with crumbs. We couldn't even sleep in the bed. I tried calling and texting the customer number that was provided, there was no answer. There was not a single person in sight at the hotel. Even after checking out the hotel I was not contacted after leaving a message. If I can rate it zero star I would. We'll not be returning to this place again.

Wonderful place in a great location. Especially enjoyed the very comfortable bed, over sized towels, and the very thoughtful snacks and food that were provided. So many “Alaska touches” with the furnishings. What a treat to get up in the morning and enjoy a choice of wonderful coffees, especially on an eight below zero morning!

Communications with staff were great, the self serving breakfast options were great, instructions were simple and easy to follow, but the cleanliness overall was less than optimal (bathroom had hair all over the floors and in the shower on the floor and walls, bath towels/washcloths were dingy and I felt dirtier using them). Ended up cancelling a later planned stay here just because of the cleanliness.

Amanda, I'm so so sorry you had this experience. It is definitely NOT our standard. I'm not sure why your room was neglected but I have conferred with all the staff about the issue. We have implemented a double checking system so every room gets two sets of eyes on it before receiving a guest. If you would ever consider giving us another chance, contact me and I'll comp a room night for you. Clean is our number one goal! I'm sorry we failed you.

Everything about this property, and our stay was amazing, with the one exception that the entrance was not plowed. Had we brought our rear wheel vehicle we would not have made it into the property to be able to stay, luckily, we had our four-wheel-drive vehicle, but even then it was a challenge. Very unsafe unplowed entrance from the street.

I'm sorry you had a snow issue. Anchorage has had record breaking snow this year and honestly the whole town is struggling to deal with it. Several times we've plowed just to have the state come through and make a giant berm. We are trying. Thank you for letting us know there was an issue. And I'm super happy everything else was AMAZING! That's high praise!

Just as pictured-Aurora Room. There is a step up to the toilet and tub. A slightly wider step for the stool would make it feel safer. Breakfast was more than ample, vey good. We stayed Dec 26-31 and a boot tray or mat would have been good given that we entered through the bathroom.

This place is a gem! From the comfortable and clean rooms, great location and cozy lodge atmosphere, everything was amazing. I forgot to add a fabulous breakfast with kitchen amenities that can’t be beat. Look no further for a great stay in Anchorage!

The place itself was good aside that they don’t have a staff, office, and the location is a bit outside of town. They were clean and seemed respectful about privacy. I think they hide cameras in the smoke detectors in the rooms though.

Thanks for your nice rating. Since this is a B&B we are required by law to live on the property. Our apartment is above the garage. We didn't meet you because during your stay our 2 year old was in the hospital and we were both staying there with him. The staff comes during the day. We do NOT have hidden cameras. We have a few out in the open so we can assist guests even if we're not home. They are ring cameras, on the deck, at the front door and in the kichens, they are I'm the wide open. Hope the rest of your travels are safe.
