False Advertising – Not BeachfrontWe booked this home because it was advertised as beachfront, which is not true. This was extremely disappointing and negatively impacted our family vacation with our children and grandchildren who traveled a long distance.Warning to future renters: This property is not beachfront, and there is no parking if you try to drive to the beach.

Amazing!! Fantastic!!! Beautiful house, pool, gorgeous view, sunrises, dolphins, all the birds, the gulf we played in, the beach just a short walk away. The town so cute, great restaurants, I had friends come in and out during my stay, it was the perfect birthday week!!! Everyone lovd the house!!! The hosts were a text or phone call away, and answered right away. Everything was great, 1st class

Beautiful getaway

This house was perfect! The pool was warm. We had dolphins and a manatee who swam by the house many times during our stay. The sunrise is amazing! Location is perfect away from the busy resorts. Would rent again!

Family Vacation Ruined by Uninhabitable, Neglected, Roach-Infested Property

With 5 children aged 12&U, incl. one with special-needs, travelling is a colossal undertaking. We booked this seemingly perfectly-suited property for a 7-day rental in March 2024.We were unable to access the property; neither the access codes nor lock worked.The home was filthy & in disrepair, & infested with cockroaches.There were cracks in the ceiling & a loose wooden board hanging above the hot tub. Neither laundry dryers worked properly.The pool was dirty, the pool pump had flooded the patio; the standing water had been there long enough for moss to grow.The patio furniture & grill were corroded beyond use.Three of the TVs did not work, & the wifi was poor, only working at specific areas within the home.My family became violently ill, vomiting within the first day, lasting nearly the duration of our stay.The unsanitary environment posed a significant risk to my immunodeficient child, who has remained ill after arriving home & may require hospitalization. VRBO was nonresponsive; a complete misrepresentation of their Book with Confidence Guarantee. Despite extermination, cockroaches persisted to infest the cabinets, dishwasher, stove, & showers.The majority of needed repairs were too extensive to be remedied during our stay. We were only offered alternate, inferior accommodations after 5 days. The days & money intended to be spent building family memories were instead spent ill, feverishly cleaning, laying roach traps, & counting the days until we could go home.

A great place for a family reunion!

We have"fussy" kids who feel persecuted if they sleep in anything less than a King bed. I chose this beautiful house because of the beds. The furniture is not what is pictured and hard for old folks to get up from- the kids had no problem. We've stayed in several places with decks or porches which didn't have all the guano this house had. The agency was very responsive to the few problems we had. The beach isn't as pictured, very little, but the pool makes up for that. Abundant lawn furniture and working grill All in all, I'd give it 8/10 stars.

Perfect for us.

Like-new Beachfront house with 7 bedrooms and huge kitchen. Quiet neighborhood with fishing pier/restaurant close by. Our three children and five grandchildren joined us to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Much spa and Pool time. Great fun. Everyone was pleased.

Elegant home on the bay

Great family vacation

House and location was great for a family get together. We loved the pool, hot tub and gulf all in one location. Beautiful views from all balconies. The house could have been a bit cleaner! Small maintenance jobs are needed.

Major Disappointment

Pictures can be deceiving. After spending a lot of money to stay here, we were extremely disappointed in this property. It is in need of the largest maintenance up haul - cabinets in horrible condition , wires hanging from fridge, mold in the showers, can lights hanging from pool patio area, dead fish in the pool, dirt and debris under furniture, dirty rugs, etc. We filed all these complaints to basically get the run around. It was such a let down, especially after spending so much money to stay. I would not return to this property. The other reviews were right! Needs major work!!!

Annual Family Getaway

The property was great located right on the beach. Lots of dolphin. manatees, starfish, hermit crabs and sand dollars. Great place for standup paddle boarding. The kids enjoyed fishing.

Disappointing

The house is beautiful but in serious need of repairs/cleaning/maintenance. We saw reviews from July, 2021 that mentioned issues, but assumed that those would be corrected by March 2022. Unfortunately we were wrong. Cabinets were hanging off hinges, sliding doors coming apart, stains on furniture and holes in furniture, oven was really dirty, house needs a deep cleaning. Small holes in walls, stains on walls, peeling paint, loose stair tread. Pool equipment was leaking, limited towels and kitchen supplies (one dishwasher pod for a week). The coffee maker took 5 cycles to clean. We left early, after only 2 nights instead of a week. Not the luxury vacation we had planned.

Property description no longer accurate

Combined with reading the most recent reviews and having stayed at this property, I can agree that this property should no longer be rated 5 star. The only 5 star rating worthy of this property is the location which is fantastic. I was concerned about staying on the bay side because there was very little beach and no waves. In retrospect, the bayside was perfect for just about everything else. We went to Manatee Beach one afternoon and the grandkids boogie-boarded to their hearts content. We fished off the rod & reel pier, ordered lot's of takeout, paddle boarded, hunted for shells, saw dolphins and manatee daily and floated all day long. The water temperature was perfect. Now back to the house. I rented this house over 2 years ago when it was rated 5 star. The size of the home, bedroom configuration, bathrooms in each room and the large pool was ideal for our party of 15 of varying ages. The house is beautifully decorated but it is showing lot's of wear & tear. The beds squeak when getting in and out and the floors upstairs squeak as well, so if you're sensitive to noise...this might not be the house for you. There are 4 wine fridge's of which only 2 work. The refrigerator/freezer ice maker does not work but AMI will bring you bagged ice. Request this early as it does take them a while to bring it to you. The secondary ice maker was frozen over as is one of the wine fridges. We managed to defrost enough ice away to get it to produce ice on the last 2 days of our stay. There are broken kitchen cabinet doors and the slip covers on the sofa are stained. Apparently new covers are ordered but will not arrive for a while. All in all, we had a wonderful trip and this house served it's purpose but for over $2500/day, it did not measure up. Be sure to bring bath soap, dishwasher & laundry detergent, salt & pepper, paper towels & trash bags. Much of this is not provided. It mentions a "starter" kit but it lasts 1 day. There is only 1 beach towel per person (16). AMI was responsive to all calls during our stay.

Best family vacation house!

This was the best vacation we have ever had! This house is beautiful and the location couldn't have been any better. We had a few maintenance issues but AMI had people sent over that day. One other downfall is that the AC units are on the on the main balcony which was noisy when outside but these seemed like little things considering the house and location are spectacular. We hope to go back next year.

Great family place.

We stayed at this property for our fall break. The layout of the house was great for 3 generation family with a couple of large closets that were used for infant rooms for naps and sleeping. The beach was very convenient but pretty small. Not far for a drive to one of the gulf side beaches. A couple of improvements could be a place to rinse off from the beach, and ground floor bathroom. The home is beautiful and the property managers are very accommodating. Would recommend.

Great Family Vacation Home

We have been looking forward to stay at Anna Maria Island for a couple of years, and given the Island gets booked with much anticipation we have waited for almost two years to enjoy our stay at this beauty. First impression: WOW! What a view! The house was extremely comfortable for our big party. The rooms were a nice size and each room had their bathroom which was a major plus for us. The location is perfect! The beach was Literally a step away from the house which was amazing because you can be in the pool and also enjoy the beach with no effort. The house was beautifully decorated and really was kid friendly. The house did come with a ping pong table and fooseball all that the kids really enjoyed. The pier next to the house was also nice as our boys were able to fish off the pier and yes you catch fish there. The kids enjoyed the dolphin show every morning as they come to feed off the bait fish. Overall we really enjoyed the comfort of this house and it’s location and would rent it again in a heart beat. The reason we didn’t provide this house a 5star rating is for the following: The house does need some TLC. You can tell the wear and tear is there and can use some love. The ice maker did not work no different than the reviews mentioned by all of the previous renters. You would think that they would fix it but apparently that’s not happening. So if you plan to stay here bring ICE. The upstairs washing machine and dryer did not work and were broken with pieces of rubber inside of it. The house lights in the exterior are rusted and hanging off the ceiling. The 2nd floor can get hot if you are cooking as the Ac is working hard with no AC on the first floor with The opening and closing of the doors. For the price you pay for night it would be nice to have paddle boards, kayaks. We did reach out to AMI locals and they did immediately respond but who wants to be bothered with people trying to fix things when you are on vacation; no one. So we did not have them come to fix any of it. They should have been fixed prior to the arrival of guest. Those are improvements the house needs but overall would rent again. We made nice memories and enjoyed our stay.
