Great apartment, but management failed to correct major problems
This is a great apartment in a great location. We were there in late June 2025, during the heat wave, for two weeks. We love Annecy.But from the very first, the air conditioning did not work, despite being prominently mentioned in the listing title. We informed management several times and were told various things to try, but nothing worked. Then they sent the building maintenance guy, who told us he didn't know anything about air conditioning systems. What we wanted was for them to send a real air conditioning technician. After 3 or 4 days, we noticed the floors never cooled down at night. Turns out the floor radiant heat was ON! No air conditioning and floor radiant heat in the midst of the epic late June 2025 heat wave!! Many calls and emails to the management company did not result in any resolution for the first week. It was hard to sleep and intolerably hot even in the early evening. We finally had a/c and floor heat off on day 8.I asked for a partial refund. They offered a very small token, less than 5% discount from the price we paid. As of mid-July 2025, they still haven't paid even that. I will pursue remedies through the VRBO platform and file a complaint with Annecy Tourism. In short - this is a great apartment in a great location, but the management company did not resolve our very important issue for a full week. They still have not paid any compensation, almost 3 weeks later.
