Room was very nice as you would expect for an older home. I grew up in an old home, so it felt like home. Charming. The staff was super sweet and answered my questions and any issues i had come up. They were wonderful. On to the property, it's beautiful older homes that needs more attention. The staff do what they can with what they have, but there are broken banisters, the jacuzzi in the room was not working, and the shower has wood flooring right in front of it that's is getting ruined, the bathroom flooring, while beautiful, needed to be replaced due to cracks, the outside seating at the main home for breakfast is worn down. You can see that there are areas outside the home that also need attention. Over all, still a nice stay in a charming home.

Room comfortable. Breakfast decent. Took a while to find correct rooms, ice machine, but it worked out well. Rebecca and staff took good care of us.

This was my third stay however this was the first time I did not stay at the main house. I did not like the digital key, it was a hassle. I did not like having to climb into a jacuzzi tub to take a shower, especially with no hand rails to ensure safety climbing in. The ceiling of my room looked like it may come down at any minute. I realize the history/age and that is what I enjoy about the place but again, I've only ever stayed at the main house. I only stayed for one night so it was okay but next time I will be sure to book a room in the main house.

Yes it was a historic and charming old house but the porch and outdoor seating was covered in dust and dirt, had to clean the tables and chairs ourselves just to be able to sit.

Downtown Apalachicola. Could walk to anything. Property was lovely, real old Florida. We had a lovely room with a 4 poster bed and bay window. We had access to the first floor porch and my wife enjoyed reading out there on an old rocking chair. Breakfast was good and host cooked some bacon for us fresh. Love Apalachicola and would have loved to stayed in the property longer, but we were just passing through.

Too many problems to list. I hated I have to fill out an application and get an app to get into a room. But if I am driving, how was I supposed to do that. The guy on the phone acted like I was the problem.i don’t think the guest should sit outside to fill out forms. Wanted me to travel to pick up a room key and said he was doing me a favor by not charging me extra. You can’t regulate room temperature. The bath fixture look very old. Stay away.

Rebecca was a perfect Southern hostess and made us feel so welcome. The digital check-in process was easy inconvenient. This historic mansion was well maintained with historic pieces throughout the property. It was very walkable - we just parked our vehicle at the property and walked to the many bars, restaurants and quaint shops. It was one of our favorite spots!

Gorgeous circa 1900 house with original woodwork. There was a fireplace in my room. Some rooms have clawfoot bathtubs. I enjoyed a very quiet stay. Plus it's VERY convenient to town.

Great and beautiful room. This is my second time staying here. The building is such an original old school home converted into private room rentals. Each time have been easy checkin with the EasyPass app, but also walking distance and so close to everything you want to see in Appalachiacola town. Highly recommend this lovely, and quaint place.

We love the Coombs Inn but it's no longer a bed and breadfast. There were also little things that they need to fix like a flickering bathroom light bulb and we weren't able to open the windows because they were painted shut. Besides that, Coombs Inn is an awesome old house that was very peaceful!

When we spend good money for a get-away, we expect accommodations to be equal to our living conditions at home or better. We don’t live in filth w/o ice, laundry, iron, TP and facial tissue; hair dryer; coffee cups, etc. All we got at Coombs was a roof, running water, and a bed. It was a 5 day miserable experience far below our standard of living.

boards in ceiling above our bed splitting and entire ceiling is convoluted

Check in was simple enough. They’ll email you details on check in. The inn was beautiful and so peaceful. We were very relaxed and appreciative of how quiet it was compared to a regular hotel. The mattress was not comfortable at all. We switched to sleeping toward the end of the bed and what was a little better. It’s warm in there and ceiling fan doesn’t help very much. We did find a standing fan in our closet and used it. It helped but we ended up sleeping with the top sheet only and skipped the comforter. The toilet is small so be aware of that. Regardless, we loved our stay and plan to stay there again.
