A wonderful view from the villa, very clean and a nice welcome pack.The villa is up a steep hill as has been mentioned, however a taxi back is fine.It would be helpful if the villa actually had a name, for directing taxis.The pool was nice and big and very cold! It only caught the sunshine in a morning.There was a TV in the lounge area, however, it wasn't connected up, but that didn't matter to us.The main showers were great, however the one over the bath wasn't and the bath didn't have a plug.The kitchen could do with some more items for cooking purposes. There were some cooking trays underneath the oven, but they were too wide and wouldn't fit in the oven. We bought some foil cooking trays to use.We can recommend the villa and there was great communication with the manager.

Amazing view.

Lovely Villa with an amazing view. About 15 min walk down to town and beach but steep walk back so taxi was good call in the night.Almyrida is lovely coastal town with great beach and good choice of restaurants.

Herrliche Unterkunft mit sensationellem Ausblick

Sehr schöne Villa! Es ist alles gut gepflegt und sauber. Der Pool ist groß und wunderschön. Man hat einen gigantischen Blick auf die Bucht von Souda. Man kann in ca 10 Minuten zu Fuß nach Almyrida laufen (Achtung, steiler Rückweg), dort gibt es alles was man so braucht (ca 20 verschiedene Restaurants, Läden und Geschäfte mit Souvenirs, Badekleidung und mehrere kleine Supermärkte und Bäcker. In Kalyves (ca 10 Minuten mit dem Auto) gibt es einen guten Metzger und Fischladen. Das Haus ist absolut zu empfehlen, die Gastgeberin ist immer erreichbar und reagiert sehr schnell auf Anfragen!

Beautiful villa stunning views

The villa’s setting is breathtaking with views over the bay and mountains. It has large en-suite rooms upstairs with adjoining balcony. The kitchen equipment is a little sparse but we ate out every evening so not a problem for us. The pool is not heated so takes some getting used to but great for swimming lengths. Almyrida is a great resort not too busy but with lots of shops and restaurants our favourite was Anita’s. The beaches are sandy and the sea is so clear and shallow so safe for children.We walked to town in 15 minutes but the hill is quite steep returning so we drove most of the time

Would Stay Here Again

Property was spacious and bright, wonderful large pool, a large balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. Minutes to town and the beach. Lots of very good restaurants nearby. Wendy, the host, was great and very responsive.

Wonderful!

Beautiful villa on the hill over looking Almyrida. Pool was clear and cool and beautiful. Views are just amazing. Host was responsive any time we reached out. Even let us have a late check out. I would LOVE to come back!!

Superb holiday stay

Villa Bella View has exceeded all our expectations during our stay. All rooms are supplied with bathrooms and air conditioning, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped. We have found the poolside kitchen to be great for BBQ’s and group meals by the pool, which is also very large and private, with a fantastic sea view! This is the best villa we have had the pleasure of staying in. Wendy the host is very kind and always very quick to respond. We hope to return soon.

great place to relax

The swimming pool was beautiful; the front porch lent itself to relaxing meals and conversation. Mattresses need to be replaced. WiFi name and password should be available at villa when checking in. Difficult to walk from villa because of narrow roads and speeding vehicles.

Wonderful Villa with amazing views!

We had the most amazing holiday at Villa Asteria, the views from the villa are just breath taking! The Villa had lots of space with excellent air conditioning that allowed us to get a good night sleep!. The pool is a very generous size which our girls loved and so did we! You can walk into Almyrida, but we decided to get a Taxi back, which was so easy for us to do as there is a friendly taxi firm in the centre of Almyrida. Wendy always got back to me asap when ever I had a question as it was important to her for us all to have lovely holiday. We also met Jimmy who came to clean our pool and he was also very kind and helpful We enjoyed Wendy's Villa so much we are considering booking it for next year.

Family Trip

Our family recently stayed at the villa. We enjoyed our stay in this nice beach village of Almyrida. The property was a little difficult to find, our driver needed some assistance from the caretaker. Although the walk is a short distance to the beach it should be mentioned that it is a definite steep climb on the return trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and outdoor space with its breathtaking views. Wifi was inconsistent but Helen was helpful with contacting the service provider. Overall I would recommend staying at this villa.

Das Haus war wie beschrieben!

Das Haus war an sich ganz gut, nur die obere Terrasse war nicht nutzbar, weil die Vögel ihre Nester unter den Dachziegeln hatten und dort alles voll Kot war. Die Lage des Hauses war auch ganz gut, aber man braucht ein Auto. Was wir schade fanden war, das wir bei der Ankunft und unseren Aufenthaltes vor Ort keinen einzigen Ansprechpartner außer dem Poolreiniger hatten.

The villa is just perfect. I can’t recommend it highly enough . Magic!

It’s a great villa .,the pics don’t so it justice .We have 5 kids ages 9-14 and we al had the best time . The place is spacious enough with a magnificent view from the upstairs balcony looking out over the sea and village . The pool is not salt water but it’s still fab . The village and beach are a fortifying 10 minutes walk. The sea is a dream- clean azure water , great for snorkeling and long distance swims . The restaurants, there are about 15-20 are very reasonable and the food was scrumptious. You can’t beat sun kissed produce. . The flavors were just out of this world. I liked that you could fall off the beach into any restaurant at 8 pm or go home and dress up . Anything goes. The locals were helpful and smiley but never in your face. There was an abundance of food growing along the hedge grows - grapes, olives, figs, apricots , It was well worth it to take a bus into Chania and have a look around the port and surroundings. The local honey and Greek Yoghurt was divine. It’s juat perfect for a restful holiday, swimming ,sun and the best food . Beam me back there Scotty, I’d return in a heartbeat.

Family stay in Almyrida

It was a beautiful villa, close to almyrida. Beautiful views and pool. A couple of things which would make it perfect if they were fixed, one bathroom we couldn’t use the shower in upstairs as the shower curtain rope has sagged so the curtain doesn’t stay up. The chairs downstairs in the kitchen had broken and one totally collapsed when my husband sat on it. The villa could be beautiful but it just needed some TLC. Where door frames and come away and chips in certain places and the garden tidied a bit. The bedding and towels could also do with being renewed and the upstairs mattresses in the double room you could feel the springs in, but the single beds downstairs were good. We enjoyed our stay and with a few improvements the villa could be amazing.

Great holiday in Crete

The villa is very well located, well laid out and has beautiful views over the village, surrounding hills, the coast and the sea. The pool is lovely and we particularly liked the upper terrace for relaxing. The walk into Almyrida is easy and there is a good range of places to eat and drink locally. Minor issues that arose during our stay were dealt with reasonably promptly. Some of the furniture is a bit tired, in particular the dining chairs require attention and the bedrooms would benefit from more furniture, but we were pleased with the good provision of hanging space and hangers. The kitchen is well equipped. We would certainly consider a return visit.

Beautiful villa with amazing views

The villa was excellent just a few minor things that could be improved. The swimming pool was quite cold initially but ok once in. The location was just what we wanted nice and quiet but within east reach of all facilities. Jimmy who looked after the villa could not of been more helpful Almyrida is a great resort We will definitely use HomeAway again
