Dockside Cottage is the family's ultimate getaway, a fisherman's dream or a couple's retreat, Perched high above Mill Creek with the Neuse River on the horizon, this single-family creekfront cottage is beautifully decorated and maintained with 1850 heated sf with huge covered and screened porches with sitting and dining areas that really extend your living space. Everywhere you look both inside and out, the cottage is full of unique details to make your stay extra comfortable and memorable. Dockside is the largest of our rental cottages within the Arlington Place community and boasts an outdoor shower that is perfect after a fun day of kayaking, boating or swimming!
This beautifully appointed 3BR, 3BA cottage features an open living, dining and kitchen area for a comfortable relaxing stay. The Primary bedroom has a king sized bed with private bath and boasts its' own private reading nook as well as a single daybed. There is a queen bed in the second bedroom. The third bedroom offers additional sleeping options with two twin beds. There are two full baths and a full sized washer and dryer on the main level. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped with refrigerator with ice-maker and water dispenser, gas stove/oven, microwave, combination drip and single cup coffee maker, toaster and all your basic cooking utensils. Off the living area is a 420 sq ft covered and screened in porch to expand your living space. WIFI and Streaming TV comes complimentary with the cottage. Linens and towels are provided. This home has a keypad entry for self check-in/check-out.
This delightful community boasts access to amenities that include clubhouse, pool, tennis courts, community boat ramp and trails. The pool is open from mid-May to mid-October, from 8am - 8pm for you to enjoy. While you're there, step into the clubhouse with its large living area with TV, streaming services of Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+. The community center also has an efficiency kitchen with a refrigerator, toaster oven and sink. There is also a small fitness room, restrooms, a landline phone, and Wi-Fi. Just outside of the community center and pool, you'll find even more activities for the whole family. There's a playground area for your younger children with sand volleyball, basketball and tennis courts for everyone else. You also have access to a gazebo, firepit, and park area across from the clubhouse. Please bring your own equipment for the sports courts.
If all these amenities are not quite enough, let us also introduce you to the Outfitter's Center. Located near the Outfitter's Cottages, it is a large screened-in wood building with a double sided stone wood burning fireplace and seating inside and on the back deck. There is charcoal park grill there that you are welcome to use. The kayaks are located on the left side of the center and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can follow the pier behind the Outfitter's center to the kayak launch. You will launch your kayaks into Mill Creek there. It's about a 1 mile paddle to the mouth of the river.
There is also a boat ramp located right next door where you can launch your boat. A parking area for your boat and trailer is adjacent to the ramp. You will need to sign a waiver in order to get the access code and parking passes.
