Nice stay at Kawa in a truly stunning location, however, considering the price we paid, the value for money was poor. Our jacuzzi was broken on arrival and after a back and forth between management, other room options were suggested which were less than what we had paid for originally and we were not offered any monetary discount. We had an apology from Luis but not from the manager on duty at the time, who continued to be aloof during our stay. The breakfast was lovely and the views from the room were great. A shame that the manageress was rude during our stay and her customer service was not what you would expect given the rating of the accommodation.

Excellent and outstanding property - it is much more beautiful than the pictures can show. The staff is super friendly and go above and beyond to help the guests. Breakfast and dinner were a highlight as well. Beautiful surroundings!

Incredible views with even better service

Absolutely loved the stay at Hotel Kawa. The property is incredible -- beautiful views right above the town of Salento. The room could not have been better. Very comfortable and the private jacuzzi was a huge plus. The staff, particularly Daniela, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The food was also excellent -enjoyed both dinner and breakfast on the property. I would absolutely stay at this property again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxury stay at a very reasonable price point.

Prior to our visit, we read all the positive reviews and our stay exceeded our high expectations. Everything about this place is fantastic: the stunning views, tranquil setting, comfortable room and excellent service. The charming lobby/dinning area was a perfect setting to enjoy the breakfast of an assortment of fresh fruits, coffee and selected entré. In the evening, we enjoyed drinks in front of the wood burning fireplace. The location was perfect for our four days of exploring the region. We found the walk into Salento a little steep and tiring, so we used a driver that charged 15,000 pesos each way which worked out great. Can’t recommend Kawa enough!

Our stay in Waka Mountain Retreat in Salento was fantastic! Although getting to the hotel was a bit inconvenient due to the dirt road that initially seemed sketchy, it was absolutely worth it once we arrived. The location is perfect, giving you the feeling of being in the middle of the forest while actually being just a 5-minute walk from the town. The rooms are beautifully decorated, combining the natural environment with modern comforts. The food was amazing for both dinner and breakfast, and the staff was outstanding. Special thanks to Carlos at the reception and Albany in the restaurant for being so nice and helpful. The only downside was the rooms next to the main building, which have a large window that can be bothersome due to the lack of privacy and noise barrier. We could hear everything when there were food deliveries to the restaurant or pick-ups for excursions, as if there were no walls. However, when we requested to switch rooms, the staff accommodated our request, which was fantastic. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend booking a room away from the main building for a more peaceful experience!

This was a nice change of scenery . Perfect views and relaxation. The staff were wonderful and accommodating . My only cons 1. More options for vegan/vegetarians ( including options dairy free milk ) 2. Restaurant is closed Sundays so it would be nice if they had a little convenience store on the property that sells snacks , drinks etc

Top Hotel mit fantastischen Ausblick

Unglaublich schöner Ausblick, sowie vom Zimmer aus als auch vom Frühstücksraum aus. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Hotel bietet auch viele Aktivitäten an. Massage, Jacuzzi, Sauna (leider muss man bei der Sauna die Türe zu halten da defekt) vorhanden. Zimmer geräumig. Leider etwas frisch im Zimmer (kleiner Heizstrahler ist im Zimmer)

Very good hotel and breakfast. Access is tricky if not traveling by own car. Can be cold during night. No heating option for bathroom during cold time.
