  • A quaint 16th Century barn conversion close to Carsington Water with extensive grounds to explore.. Ground Floor:

    Kitchen/dining room: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Washing Machine

    First Floor:

    Living room: Freeview TV, DVD Player

    Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed

    Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Night storage heaters, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot and highchair. Garden with patio, sitting-out area, BBQ and garden furniture. 5½-acre grounds (shared). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Peacefully set in Peakland countryside, this 16th-century barn conversion is only a mile and a half from Carsington Water, with its nature trails, wildlife sanctuary, riding, water sports, cycle hire, pub/restaurant and shops. Attached to the owners’ home, it has its own south-facing garden and enjoys shared use of extensive grounds. Kedleston Hall and the spectacular scenery of Dove Dale are both within 6 miles, and Ashbourne’s shops, inns and activities are within 10 minutes’ drive. Cycling and walking on the Tissington Trail (4 miles). Alton Towers, 12 miles. Shop and pubs 2 miles.

Just be aware there is a road and if you have a larger dog that it doesn't have 6 foot fencing, our large German Shepherd found he could easily jump over the beautiful stone walls so you do need to keep an eye on them. He loved the large gardens to run around in would definitely recommend

We were a party of two adults and two children, aged 4 and 6. We found the Garden House to be a perfect little hideaway. In a quiet area, with outside space for the kids to run around. It's small but extremely cosy and absolutely fine for a base to get out and about in the local area. It has everything you need and was lovely to have the little extras you don't always get when renting, like soap, washing up liquid, loo roll etc.
