“We always enjoying staying here. It’s so peaceful and the house is perfect. The kitchen has everything you need, plenty of towels and comfy bed. The hot tub was wonderful as well. This was our 3rd time staying here and we’ll be back again! ”

“Really nice space tucked into an excellent location between West Jefferson and Grayson Highlands. If you are looking for a good basecamp, this one is tough to beat. Loved being in a fairly secluded spot surrounded by trees and wildlife. It was cold while we were there so the fireplace was fantastic. The wraparound porch would be killer during warmer months. This would have easily been a five star location but there were two related issues that dropped our rating We missed the fine print that……

There were wonderful amenities provided by the host, who was also very responsive to messages and went out of their way to make sure our stay was excellent!!! This will be our first choice for accommodations next time we head to that area. There is not one thing I would change for our next stay!!! ”

“I was welcomed by the host as I arrived and got lots of good info on places to eat and attractions. There was also lots of info in the house. I have never rented a place with a better stocked kitchen- nice pots, pans and good knives lots of dishes too. Updated appliances and comfy furniture. The view was amazing even after all the leaves had fallen. Star gazing was top notch too. We walked some of the trails and I caught some nice fish in the pond. We will definitely be returning to the Nut……

“Responsive host, plenty of coffee, utensils and pans for cooking were great. Loved walking the riverbank. Quiet area. Wood for the fire pits and fireplace were nice. Just a nice relaxing weekend. Enjoyed watching the deer each evening. ”

“The location was great, we loved being right on the water. Loved that pets are welcome. A few things to note. The pictures look as if there are all kinds of swings off the porch, my kids were real excited about. There was only one swing. That was let down. The ping pong table does not exist. The wifi is terrible. The thermostat was a little iffy. And there is a camper almost flush up to the house that is owned by someone else, and they were loud all weekend, which wasn't a big deal, but when……

“We love the cabin and would definitely stay there again. It’s easy to find with GPS and the area is quiet. It is within a reasonable distance from Boone and other attractions. ”
