Absolutely beautiful location and great accomodations

This is a great place to stay in Asheville with great common areas, lovely staff, and convenient location. I highly recommend the Grove Park Inn.

I have been a long time fan of the Grove Park Inn. We have stayed there a number of times when my budget permits and always enjoyed the beauty of the hotel, the kindness and quality service of the employees and the fantastic facilities. During a recent stay there were a few missteps that marred he normally fabulous experience. Upon arrival on January 2, there was a large line leading to the hotel… Probably due to people coming to see the gingerbread contest?… However, as a guest of the hotel it took us close to 30 minutes to travel down the roadway line to the valet. Once we did check in at the desk, our room is not ready yet, which was fine as it was 3 o’clock and check in time is 4 o’clock. We waited in the lobby and purchased a cocktail as we are waited a text to advise us our room was ready. The text never arrived and at 4:30 my husband approach guest services where he was advised the room was not ready and that actually check in started at 4 o’clock. What the heck? Does checkout start at 11 o’clock? About half an hour after that text arrived at our room was ready. Our room was fine in relation to the riate we paid so we were pleased The next day we got up and traveled around Asheville to enjoy the town. When we returned at 6 o’clock our room was not made up. We called the front desk and were advised that there was no maid service that day!? The manager did reach out and provide us a breakfast credit to apologize the check in experience. We appreciated that.
