"First off, the staff is helpful and friendly. No complaints.
The ownership is a different matter. This lodging is old and needs a complete refresh. It is advertised as serving the public since 1912. I think that is the last time this place got a coat of paint. Room was worst than a Motel 6, but at least Motel 6 is upfront on what you are paying for.
The primary reason for renting at this location was the Telsa destination chargers (2) being available. That was an experience.
One charger is broken. The other is turned off by the staff to insure non-hotel cars don't pull up to charge. I had to go to staff each day to turn it on. A sign on the front door offers direction to Elbe if you do need your Telsa charged. I checked it out for future use. It is a ChargePoint units. No way to interface with Telsa. ChargePoint connectors don't inferface with Telsa adapter.
The room - we were in unit 16 (pet friendly). Room had one hanger. Bathroom had toilet that clogged. Shower-min flow. Towels were fresh and soft. Tiny TV. Bed comfortable.
The building - chipped weathered paint. Exposed wood. Very sad feel.
The grounds - minimum upkeep. Grass surrounds pond.
The pictures - shows firepit. No firepit. shows restaurant. No restaurant. All wood outdoor chairs are weathered, with splitters. shows fireplace. No fireplace.
The owners need to close and renovate.
Paid $1200 for 4 days. Total ripoff.
But again, the staff was great! Feeding fish in pond great!"
"Very quaint chalet in the heart of the national park. It was super quiet and peaceful and awesome to be able to sit on the porch and look at Mount Rainier. The food in the restaurant was also very good and the prices were quite fair. The only thing to know is that there's no cell signal and very limited WiFi on the property, also no TV's in the rooms. But if you're looking for a place to disconnect from technology, this place is great!"
Cozy studio cabin less than a mile to Mt. Rainier entrance.
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was nice and clean and also comfortable there was nobody around so that was nice also they pretty much everything you need to cook or make coffee all though what I didn't like is there was a Keurig machine but no k-cups to make coffee there also was no creamer the shower head and shower could be cleaned as well but other then that it was good"
Modern 3BR Mountain Cabin Near Mt. Rainier: Hot Tub, Firepit, Family-Friendly
10/10 Excellent
"This wonderful cabin was the perfect spot for our time in Asford. The location was very close to the Mount Ranier National park entrance, and close to several restaurants and convenience stores so we had everythingwe needed. The cabin itself was well stocked with all of the necessities and plenty of extras. The home was very clean and everything was as advertised and expected. Ken was great with communication, and checked in to make sure that everything was satisfactory. We would definitely recommend this cabin for others visiting the area!"
"Misleading that the hot tub was not included in stay make it look like an amenity to the hotel. Don’t build a party venue right next to your cottages. No privacy or quiet people standing out front of the cottages from party, extremely noisy until 10pm quiet hours at 9. Ur who wants to listen to a speaker that might as well be in your room. Then no black out shade so big spot light shown on our room all night finally had to go ask to turn it off around midnight but still had lights on in party glass house so didn’t matter if you like darkness don’t stay here. Then the shower sure pebbles look cute and fit the vibe but smooth them out or put clear coat over it hurt to stand in shower. And stafff ha joke you get an AI helper that will deliver messages"
