Perfect Aspen Stay

In town for 4 days for a wedding and the location, cleanliness and attention to details was awesome. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Condo was in excellent condition and kitchen had everything you can possibly need. City Market grocery store is one block away. Perfect location to restaurants, gym, shopping. Can't wait to go back.

Uncomfortable and disappointed in Aspen, CO

Unit is dated and has no air conditioning. Spent 2 unbearably hot nights - fans are not strong enough to cool unit. Unit is dark and lights are heating up the room. Left after 2 of our 4 nights stay. Frias did not return my request to call. Hotels.com helped to request refund but was refused - Manager in charge was not professional!

My stay at Chateau Dumont was the worst service I have ever experienced in Aspen. They did not give us a key to our condo until 3 hours after our check in time, so our family of seven was stuck waiting outside the condo for 3 hours for someone to bring us a key. The listing says it comes with a parking pass, but there are only 4 spots available for the 12 or so Dumont condos, so you will have to find your own parking around town as the 4 spots were taken by cars that never moved during our 4 night stay. The concierge delivered our lift tickets to the wrong location and just blamed another company. We requested a cleaning service for the 3rd day of our stay, but they never showed up and STILL charged us a service fee for the cleaning then we never received a refund for this service fee. I understand things will get mixed up, but I think the important thing is how the management handles the mix ups. In this case, their response was terrible. Each time we called, the person we spoke with blamed the problem on someone else. The manager promised us a refund of one night, but then he never processed the refund until several weeks after our stay and only after I called them to remind them of the promised refund several times. One employee told us this is way Frias mgmt handles customer issues, and he wanted to quit his job. Bottom line, I will never stay at any Frias property again, and I cannot emphasize enough how terrible and disrespectful Frias' service team was to us.

Good property. Incredibly thin walls. Almost no parking. Had to park further away. They did give a parking permit, which was very useful. Very close to gondola and ski-lifts. No elevators, so luggage hauling to 3rd floor is a big CV chore. Unit 2 on 1st (ground) floor and Unit 15 (slightly larger) on 3rd floor. Good utensils, etc. Allows you to setup cleaning time window (2 he windows)-very convenient. After-hours office & answering service good.

Amazing location right in town by Ajax; exterior of buildings is outdated but units are in good shape. Will stay there again

Great location and unit!

We stayed at Chateau Dumont#9 Dec 25-Jan 1 2014. The location was great, right in Aspen, a block from the gondola and City Market. The unit was comfortable, Wi-Fi was excellent. had everything we needed plus the housekeeping staff was very good. The place was very clean. Also the staffs at Frias property were very helpful with needing extra keys, shuttle and any questions we had. Only problem I would say is that we could not keep our curtains open because anyone going by could look into the apartment. We had a wonderful time.
