The hotel is well located in central Athens - close to shopping, restaurants and anything else you want to do in Athens. The hotel staff was extremely helpful with coffee shops, restaurants and shopping areas. Very clean updated rooms with coffee maker and fridge. We will come back to this hotel in the future.

We stayed in room 401 with a partial view to the Acropolis, and it was such a great time. Our room was very clean. The attention to detail was in everything. The bathroom and the bedding stuff was really clean. Everything looked like it had just been redone, so it didn't feel old. We will definitely recommend this place. Also, the staff was very friendly and kind. A couple nights we were able to talk to the front desk evening girl and it was really nice to have a friendly conversation with local ones. The lift is definitely the special touch that makes the hotel feel elevated.

We only stayed one night at Belle Epoque but it was lovely. The staff were very nice and helpful, booked a taxi for us easily and promptly. The location is very walkable in Athens to shopping, sites and several restaurants. Clean hotel, the room was spacious and there was an elevator which was appreciated for a 4th floor room with luggage. Would recommend.

Wonderful hotel in the middle of the city center of Athens. Close to shops and cafes. Very clean room with great bathroom amenities and a beautiful rooftop balcony to sit. The restaurant in the hotel has excellent Italian food. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking to stay in the city center.

Belle Epoque is the best place to stay in Athens! So close to everything but very quiet and peaceful. We couldn't believe it's just a couple blocks from Ermou Street and Syntagma, it's truly a gem! Everything was so clean and we loved the fancy elevator. The staff was very helpful. We appreciated the free breakfast, and they even provided meals to go on the morning of our departure. Plus, there are tons of cute coffee shops, bars, and restaurants in the neighborhood that feel way less touristy than other areas downtown. 10/10 would recommend! One item of note: The shower in our room didn't have frosted glass and is open to the primary space. Not an issue for us as a couple, but might be awkward if traveling with friends or family as it's not private.

The beginning of our stay was great. The staff were helpful during check-in, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was also excellent, making it easy to explore Athens on foot and enjoy the many restaurants and bars nearby. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn on the second-to-last day of our stay. At 5 a.m., the fire alarm went off, forcing all guests to evacuate and stand outside in our pajamas for approximately an hour. While I understand that this is a smaller hotel and there is no front desk staff between midnight and 8 a.m., there was no emergency contact number available. I had to find an emergency instruction sheet and arrange for the fire department to come and investigate the situation. When we informed the front desk staff at 8 a.m., the response felt dismissive, with no apology or real acknowledgment of the stress and inconvenience. The concern was not simply that the alarm went off, but that there was no accessible hotel representative to contact in an emergency, which could be a serious safety issue in the event of an actual fire. I later contacted the hotel through Expedia to explain our concerns and request compensation. To their credit, they provided a 50% refund for the night the incident occurred. Overall, the hotel had a clean room and a great location, but the handling of the emergency left us disappointed. Better emergency procedures and more understanding communication with guests would make a significant difference.
