Brand new hotel, very clean and modern design. Very comfortable. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was really good. We were so lucky that there was electricity maintenance during one of the morning of our stay. That was definitely not the hotel’s fault but they still compensated us with a free bottle of wine, which was out of our expectation.

Definitely not a good fit for a long term stay. It's not a proper hotel but also not an apartment.  The GOOD: Location. Very centered yet on a quiet street. Rooms are very spacious, well designed. Received a free room upgrade. Staff was very present and friendly.  The BAD: The list is long... The room had a very foul smell coming from the bathroom. If your room is near the elevator, be prepared to hear everyone coming in and out. Rooms are not cleaned during the stay, so after 6 nights, a lot of garbage accumulated. As such, coffee / wine glasses become very unsanitary as well by this point. Room only accessible via mobile phone so if you're running on low battery and out you have to return to the hotel which is very unpractical. The hotel charged me a fee prior to my arrival which was not listed in my reservation quote and only received a refund after my travel agency intervened.  BOTTOM LINE: Good concept, bad execution. For a similar price you can find a better accommodation. Either a proper hotel room with cleaning and amenities replenishment or a proper apartment with the relevant utilities to do it yourself.

However, we are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience in our apartments to the fullest, as we work daily to make every stay unforgettable. We apologize for the inconvenience caused from the smell, although we wish we were aware so our team could issue it directly. Furthermore, kindly be advised that the sink in the pictures belongs to the restaurant, which is actually a different company and our partners. We are sad that you faced this unfortunate situation. The common bathroom is also normally available. In addition, please note that mid-stay cleaning can be offered upon request with additional cost for less than 6-days stays and for free for more than 6-days stays, while there are fresh towels, toiletries, amenities and blankets always available for all our guests in the luggage room. Furthermore, we would also like to kindly inform you that we may not have a reception, although there is 24/7 support available via whatsApp, email or phone, while our local team is in the property the most of the hours during the day, willing to assist with anything that you might need. Moreover, there is a solution if you run out of battery or lose your phone, as there is a laptop available on the mezzanine floor for all our guests which can be used in order to send an email for contacting us or charge your phone, while the main door code can be entered without phone use. Also, there is a social charger available in the front desk, available for all our guests. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the elevator. This is the first time we receive a complaint like this. Please be informed that all our rooms are sound proofed and also have double windows, while earplugs are available for the convenience of our guests. Regarding the charges, we would like to assure you that we crosschecked all our records and only the environment fee was charged twice due to a false of our system and it was immediately refunded. Once again, we are really sorry for these misunderstandings and bad situations you faced. We hope to have the opportunity to see you again to regain your trust in us and offer you a better experience!Best,Bob W.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel at the heart of Athens. Everything decorated with fine taste. I would definitely recommend staying at Bob W Eolou. Everything, including the surrounding area was grat.

They became BOBW between time I got reservation withTravelocity and time I showed up. There was no one at desk and phone number didn’t work in Greece. I had no room. Only cell phones open front and room doors My vacation was ruined frankly. Greece was ruined for us. Even though I eventually worked it out, lack of a desk person means only cell phones open front door and room doors. If battery goes to zero or phone is stolen, forget about everything. Its horrible. its a very Smart/techy renovated hotel. If youre one that dont use data while travelling, youre going to find it very challenging to enter the front door, elevator or luggage storage. You have to get Whats App on your phone in order to communicate with hotel for help. thats the major frustration for us. Otherwise, it is clean, updated, spacious, walking distance to many landmarks!

The property was in a great location, walking distance to major attractions, dining, shopping. Breakfast was included, but the food was the same every day. There was no cleaning of the room during the stay, a full week. We had to pick up replacement towels and toiletries on our own. I did not find this out until after I asked on day 3, would have been nice if this was communicated to us at time of booking.

Had a great stay here. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They might not be the largest rooms but beds are comfortable and it was nice having us charging ports next to the bed instead of having to use my charge adapter for travel. The area is a bit noisy at night but you are right in the heart of Greece and walking distance to great shops restaurants and the Acropolis so you can't really have absolute silence with being so central anywhere in Greece. By far the staff were some of the most helpful and accommodating of any we met during our 2 week stay through Greece. Also a bonus with the restaurant attached to the hotel for breakfast as the breakfast wasamazing with a lot of variety and kind waiting staff.

The property changed hands in the time between booking and being there. The note I got from Travelocity said someone from the front desk would greet me. In fact, there was nobody at the front desk. It was all automated. I should have gotten a link about what to do, but I did not get one. Even when I got one, after hours of whining to God knows whom, it all depended on my iPhone which was often running out of juice. All in all, it was a nightmare. My wife hated it. And I spent a lot of money and had zero joy. Avoid this place like the plague if you are over thirty. Eric

This hotel room was like a dollhouse: everything was gorgeous and pristine, but nothing actually worked. The shower flooded the bathroom as the drain was inadequate. The thermostat was nonfunctional and the temperature could not be changed. The bed contained nothing more than 2 pillows and 1 singular sheet. Staying here was extremely uncomfortable. Further, the hotel is in the process of changing their name and system, and it is very disorganized. I was supposed to receive email check-in instructions in advance but did not receive them. Often, the front desk is empty and there is no one to assist you. I also received an email that I owed a 3 euro city tax in the middle of the night while staying there. Since no one was at the front desk, I tried to pay online, but could not. I messaged a hotel staff member that I'd be returning in a few days and could pay in person then, which they said would be perfect, but upon my return there was no one at the desk and whoever I messaged was gone. The disorganization of this hotel's administration is staggering. Maybe I could have gotten over that had the room been amazing, but... just no.

Think twice before making reservations here!!! This was advertised as the Blend Hotel when I booked through Expedia. It changed hands to a Bob W hotel. Of course I did not get that information! Upon arrival I had not received the email telling me how to check in. A Bob W hotel is operated via electronics on your phone, including getting in the front door! There is no front desk staff. No one to answer questions! A friendly American could see we were struggling to get in upon arrival. She had arrived the previous day and had 24 hours to figure it out. We were able to get into the lobby with her help. We were then on an emergency phone number, listed on a piece of paper on the front door, to get ahold of someone to confirm our reservation and give us codes! After 15 minutes the phone was finally answered. She had my reservation and said she would email me information right then. Of course I never received that email! Another phone call…. Fortunately an employee stoped by to check something on their computer and she was able to get me an email with codes. Checkin was stressful and took over an hour! If the Wi-Fi goes down, you’d be out of luck to get into your room. There is never a staff person to ask directions, recommendations or be of any help. Of course I did not get a check out email either. Another phone call!!! Not worth the trouble!!!

No one at entry. Had to stand in rain outside and call international to get in. Apparently email sent they Expedia but we never got anything. They did remedy by sending a bootle of wine and chocolates. Room is interesting. Shower area has no place (but floor) to put shampoo, etc. No towel holder either so have to ask someone else or put on floor.

AVOID if you want the basics in a hotel room. This location is not quiet, it's noisy until 2-3am (think bass'y music from nearby bars/restaurants). That's ignoring the church bells every 30 minutes. The room stunk of sewage and cigarettes. When we flagged both things up we were told they were fully booked but I could see space online on their site and other third party sites. There are so many other nicer hotels that are a few minute walk away that provide the basics you need from a hotel; quiet, cleanliness, working WIFI and the room not stinking like a 1990s Austrian ski resort cafe

We were disappointed upon our arrival after an overnight flight that we had to pay extra to get access to our room at 1:30. Furthermore, our communication with the hotel was through the internet even thought there was staff at the ´reception desk’.

A Sudden Change…..
The hotel changed ownership a couple of days before we arrived and instead of a front desk to register at everything has shifted to on line registration. It made the check in more challenging. The hotel is now part of the Bob W. chain. In addition there was suppose to be a gift waiting in the room based on the reservation, however there was no gift to be found—I anticipate because there was no front desk staff. Hotel room was very nice and overall the hotel is well maintained and is in a great location.

After walking around Athens for 6 hours waiting for our room to get ready,we arrived at our hotel.Apparently you need an email to provide you with your room key.We stood there for 1/2 hour trying to get an email sent to me ,so we knew what room and access to key to open door.We get to our room,and our tv doesn’t work. I go downstairs to talk to the receptionist and she and her colleague are making fun of us because of the length of time it took to get my email.

Perfect spot for a short stay in Athens
We stayed here one night before catching a flight home the next day. The property is centrally located and it was easy to walk to the acropolis the next morning. The breakfast was great.

Very nice room, very friendly and helpful staff, very close to the Metro station, convenient to Athens sites. The shower fixtures were poor quality, but all in all a great place to stay!
