Good staff but poor hotel
Friendly and caring staff. The location of the hotel was fine however it too close to the church which every 30 minutes you will hear the church bell and not able to sleep well.

Basic facilities, good location
There are a lot of bars and restaurants near the hotel so it is a bit noisy at night. The room is simple, small TV, weak wifi signal, the shower area is badly designed. Although I took the shower very carefully, water leaked on whole toilet floor. The hotel is in a good location

地點就在市中心，離衛城很近，後面就是商品街、前方可以通到衛城、紀念品街及憲法廣場，非常方便!服務人員很親切也很熱心，我們要搭計程車前往Pireas時，不僅幫忙叫車、還協助我們和司機溝通，避免被騙。可惜房間超小，地板無法攤平一個24吋的行李箱，有點困擾。整體來說還是住宿雅典不錯的選擇!

Can view a little part of Acropolis. Good location
Good location and easy to find, around 5 mins by walk from metro station. I can view a little part of Acropolis from the balcony. We enjoyed having dinner and breakfast in the balcony at the same time viewing Acropolis. Came across different staff, and they are friendly and nice.

Our stay was a tale of two rooms. First night room 33 was terrible. Weak AC, cold shower - worst of all the deafening church bells every 30 minute - we got zero sleep. We asked to be moved following day room 45 was massively improved, good AC, hot sower and far away from church bells. We would recommend asking for a room away from the bells. Fantastic location walkable to everything. View from rooftop spectacular. Staff were wonderful.

Unser 3BettZimmer (24) war winzig! Wir hatten große Probleme, Platz zum Öffnen unserer Koffer zu finden. In der Dusche spritzte das Wasser nach überall und mit der Sauberkeit waren wir auch nicht zufrieden. ABER: die Lage ist super, mitten in der Stadt, Lokale direkt vor der Tür, ein Supermarkt hinter dem Haus, in wenigen Minuten vom Syntagma Platz. Ein nettes Frühstück auf der traumhaften Dachterrasse. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Uns wurde ein Taxi nach Rafina bestellt für 50 Euro. Der Fahrer hat uns ganz direkt an der richtigen Fähre ausgelassen.

Great hotel in the heart of a wonderful neighborhood that is extremely walkable to all the major sights of the city. The food surrounding is great (I recommend the pastries behind and the morning Greek yogurt and orange juice). The staff is super friendly. Also the views... Stunning!

Perfect location for our needs. 24 hour reception meant check in was not a problem. Room small, balcony had only room for one chair which wasn't represented in any photos. Bathroom was far too small with inappropriate type of shower which meant water got everywhere. Guests need to be aware that the bells from the opposite cathedral chime every half hour which meant it was not quiet. However this did not affect our overall enjoyment.

We enjoy the prime location that Hotel Metropolis offers. It is within walking distance to major attractions, especially the Acropolis, and a variety of dining options. Its proximity to the train station enhances accessibility. While nighttime noise levels were noticeable, they didn't significantly affect our stay. Cleanliness could be improved for a better guest experience. Nevertheless, considering the price, we found it to be a great value overall.

The room and view did not match the pictures and description of booking. A little disappointed, but it was a decent stay for just one night. Staff were very friendly. Super convenient to a lot of walkable attractions, shopping, and restaurants.

I arrived in Athens, I loved the staff at this hotel, very friendly and helpful, always asking if I needed anything. The location is great, close to Sintagma square and the subway, you can see the Acropolis if you get a room with a window to that side of the street, it also has a roof top with the Acrópolis view, they start to serve breakfast in the spring time. The bed was comfortable, it had a mini fridge and the water pressure was good. I will stay again at this hotel. Very good experience

급하게 숙소를 변경해서 당일 예약으로 간 곳인데 생각보다 너무 좋았습니다. 다른 리뷰에서 보면 방이나 화장실이 좁다는데 혼자 써서 그런지 별로 불편함은 없었어요. 침구류와 화장실 발매트의 청결도는 좀 아쉬웠습니다. 좀 오래된 호텔, 한국으로 따지면 모텔 정도인데 위치도 최고고 주변에 맛집들도 많아서 너무 편했어요. 대신 방음은 별로라 옆방 소리나 성당 종소리가 잘 들리긴 했는데 관광하고 돌아오면 피곤해가지고 바로 잠들어서 별로 문제되진 않았습니다. 이 정도 가격에 이 위치면 정말 최고인 거 같아요.

We were stayed in economy room and had poor experience. Our bed sheets are dirty and did not change by personel everyday. Positive side, location is perfect and in the heart of city.

What a little gem! As a family of 4, we had a room with 2 double beds. Space was tight in the room, but we had the most amazing balcony space! It was about the same size as the room, and it overlooked the acropolis! Such a great location. We walked everywhere in the downtown area, including to the acropolis. The staff were so kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a standard place to crash in Athens for a couple of nights!

Tiny little hole in the wall in a safe neighborhood. Very convenient to 2 metro stops, Acropolis, Syntagma and Monastariki. Very friendly reception with high level of English. First room assigned smelled like cigarettes. Clerk moved me immediately and was very nice about it. Second room the trash had not been emptied which made the bathroom smell. The next day, the room was cleaned thoroughly and smelled very fresh. The budget room is just that...tiny space, clean but worn bedding, flimsy cupboard and desk, small but decent bathroom with teensy shower stall maybe 18 inches wide. I stayed 3 nights, and each night the noise level from a neighboring bar was extremely high (even with earplugs) but at midnight it abruptly got quiet, so no problem sleeping. Hostel quality but good choice for those on a tight budget. If you have deeper pockets, there are some nicer hotels just up the street towards syntagma square.
