If you’re reading this DO NOT BOOK. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I honestly believe this property should be removed from Expedia’s listings. I find the rating here on Expedia much too high, almost every other source rates this hotel at around 2.3 stars, which I still believe to be generous.
The first room I was given was filthy, carpets sticky, cobwebs, extremely musty-smelling (suggesting possible mold), and had bedbugs — I have photos and videos as proof. The main door to the hotel was secure but the side doors were wide open.
I then walked to their front desk at 4am, which is located in the nearby gateway hotel. When I reported the filthy bug ridden room, staff promised me a better room and moved me next door to their Gateway Hotel, but that room was also dirty and poorly maintained. I opted to sit on the pleather desk chair until I booked a stay somewhere else.
Around 8am I asked the manager for a refund and showed her my video evidence, she refused unless an inspector confirmed the bugs. She mentioned the inspector comes every 3 weeks.
I was left with no choice but to cut my stay short, leave the property, and pay out-of-pocket for another hotel and a wash for all my clothes.
This hotel is unsafe, unsanitary, and mismanaged. It should not be advertised on Expedia as a viable accommodation option.
