「The hotel is very clean and the staff were helpful. But be aware that there is no elevator. I did not realize that when I booked and stayed for two nights with a friend who has a bad knee. We were placed on the 2nd floor and the steps were difficult for her and we had alot of luggage to carry up and down. The breakfast is fine, but not alot of variety.」

「The property is well maintained. Room was cleaned a stocked with supplies. The water pressure and the shower was the best. It has a very small fitness room, only a bike and treadmill. The continental breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay.」

「When talking to the check-in staff and later another staff, each of them was very helpful. The hotel room bathroom fan was excessively loud and the switch for it also controlled the light. If you wanted light in the bathroom you had to put up with the fan noise. This bothered both of us using the room. The hotel rooms are rather dark and the bespreads, etc. are pretty worn and dated. The room was quiet. If you just want a place to rest, it is fine, but the place is a little shabby.」

「The Burke Inn was a perfect motel for our stay for a funeral in Carroll. The room was as you would expect it to be, and they had 2 of the best bar/restaurants in town one on each side of the motel! Had a very pleasant stay!」

「It is wonderful to visit a small town and stay in a quality hotel. My favorite aspect of the hotel is its location and setting next to a historic German hausbarn. The only negative I have - our room was near a hallway main door that squeaked when someone entered the hallway.」

「It is a tired old 1950's motel that has had the rooms updated - very adequate. The outside and surrounding area is worn out and industrial. We did have plenty of towels, but there was no comfortable chair in our room and there are very few options for breakfast in this town. Overall - it was clean inside and adequate for sleeping but is not somewhere I would stay unless I needed to be in that specific area. 」

「Zero stars wasn’t an option. Filthy carpet and walls, broken and worn furniture. Staff tried to scam more money out of me, said I had no reservation and my paid receipt from Expedia meant nothing. Terrible place to stay with a terrible staff」
