It was in a really relaxing and quiet part of the country side and the outdoor games and indoor amenities made it a fun spot for my husband and I to enjoy. We had a little snafu with a later check-in and not working stove/oven but the host was quick to remedy the situation with a later check-out and partial refund. “Comfortable and well-equipped home, with more than enough towels. Under-advertised as has 2 1/2 baths, and use of the boathouse. Loved swimming and jumping off the dock, fishing, and just trolling around the lake with the two boats with trolling motors, and the peddle boat. Very wide mowed path around the lake and other trails. Also had marshmallow forks for the s’mores around the campfire. Enjoyed the rocking bench at the end of the dock, especially in the early morning and for watching……

“The location was perfect for us, as our function was being held at the fairgrounds just across the street! It's an older home, but has been totally updated. It was spacious for just the two of us! Communication with the owner was fast and easy!! Thank you for a lovely stay!!”

“We (2 sets of grandparents, 1 set of parents, 13 & 9 year old) had a fantastic 3 day weekend at the cabin. Property owner was easy to deal with. Everything was very clean. The common spaces (both indoor and out) were even better than expected. Other than a quick trip out for ice cream, we just enjoyed the comfortable and spacious surroundings to play games and relax. Everything was very well stocked-plenty of consumables such as TP/paper towels/soap that some rentals provide only small starter……

“The owner helped us by being flexible and accommodating. We got a day of reservation and there was a problem with the booking. He was quick to respond and fixed the issue right away. We were in town saying goodbye to a family member and the services got moved around several times. With a 2 and a 4 year old needing a nap and a place to hang, we were able to extend our check out for a small fee. Will stay again this summer!”

“I grew up in Carthage and occasionally return to see family. The house was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped. It is within walking distance to anything that you would need in the area as far as groceries, restaurants, etc. This will be our number one choice for future visits to the area.”
