The overall stay was good, we were a bit surprised by the window unit A/C, but it did keep us cool for the most part. We did have some bugs in the unit through the course of our stay, possibly due to a gap in the door jam on the front door. The location is fantastic and seemed to be safe area.

Great Location and Comfy Bed

Loved staying in this apartment. The linens were crisp white and and bed super comfy. I found a parking spot each time I came back from being out. The owners were super responsive. Thank you!

This is a clean, quiet apartment fairly close (walkable) to downtown, local bars/restaurants, and Town Lake/Lake Austin. Communication is excellent. Has a washer/dryer and full kitchen. Bed is comfy, and towels/soaps were provided. Roku with lots of streaming services included.

Nice place

This place is exactly as described and has everything that you need for a home away from home. Only a couple of negatives about the place the bed is not comfortable and the AC is very noisey. Also, it is a down stairs apartment and the people in the upstairs apartment would frequently be awake and walking back n forth after 3am. I'm a heavy sleeper so not really a probelm for me but if you're a light sleeper you will definately be woken by them anytime after midnight.

Poorly maintained- insect infested checked- out early !!

Multiple cockroaches and other small bugs throughout the entirety of the apartment (under the bed, under the kitchen sink, behind the washer/ dryer) property manager claimed due to the recent inclement weather and the exterior tree adjacent to the property is the reason there were bugs inside. (So that should tell you it’s something they have known about but still won’t commit to fix ) I know the building is older- however it is apparent that the cleaning service being provided/sub contracted is very poor. Save yourself the headache and excuses of poor management when there are so many other amazing properties in the Austin area(free of bugs !)

This 'Fair' rating is complicated. I tried to reserve their place in the morning of the same night

...there. I tried correcting the calendar, but it kept entering the 27th, when I wanted the 26th. I figured I could explain to the host that I wanted to stay there the same day I was contacting them, the 26th. Big mistake. The host saw the date and instead of reading my explanation, he took the Airbnb date as final. I asked if we could split it, as he could now rent it on the 27th. No way.

Awesome place, clean and convenient, just not the best night’s sleep

700 Hearn is a great Air BnB. So many positives, especially the location and cleanliness. The only down side for us was the firmness of the bed (too hard), and the sound of the A/C wall unit throughout the night. It broke that deep sleep. The owner recommended ear plugs in his tips prior to trip. That’s good (we did not take and should have). You might consider adding a softer mattress top to the bed, as well as adding a white noise maker (Homedics makes a great one), for those guests who have lighter sleep pattern and are more sensitive to noise. Just a thought.
