Wonderful carriage house

First time using VRBO, but the whole process was very easy to use. We had a wonderful stay and will come again. Location was great, close to everything. Cozy, comfortable and supplied with everything we could possibly think of. Absolutely loved the carriage house.

The Pecan House is a hidden treasure

The Pecan House is nestled in a quiet area with a lovely garden and outdoor space. It’s truly relaxing. The house is so comfortable. Every detail was thought of to make our stay perfect. This is a perfect getaway spot. The home owners are so nice to deal with. You will not ne disappointed in this spot.

This place was perfect. Great location, private and safe parking, cute apartment, comfortable bed. It’s just right for one person or a couple. Incredibly helpful info all over — have a question about something? There’s an info card right there. And the owners are wonderful, friendly people who are present and helpful. This is now my Numero Uno place to stay in Austin. I would change my dates of travel just to make sure it’s available!!

Great Stay in a Charming Neighborhood

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Pecan Tree House. I needed to find something close to Austin Heart Hospital and this guest house was just a short easy drive away. It was super clean, had everything I needed, and I truly enjoyed all of the special touches and modern conveniences. The entire property was charming and made me feel safe and at home. Super easy check-in and check-out. If I ever need to stay in Austin for any reason this will be my first choice for lodging.

Great property and host!

The property was impeccably done, with small signs containing clear information and helpful tips throughout. The location was close enough to things to make it convenient but not so close to the action that it was loud or unsafe. A/C had no problem keeping up with the 104 degree heat outside. Andrew was very attentive and helpful as well. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in Austin.

Great Stay for UT Graduation

Great location for anything UT related and the surrounding area. Very quiet street with adequate parking. Andrew is a great communicator. Unit has lots of privacy. AC worked very well. Bed was very comfortable. Unit was clean. Kitchen and den area worked very well for us. AV systems were great in the den and the bedroom.

All the modern conveniences you ever wanted

The 3 of us arrived Saturday right before the UT game and this was so convenient to the stadium that we walked. The location is a deadend street so it was pretty quiet. First we checked out all the technology that Andrew has added to this small but cool upstairs apartment. Alexa, Google home, big screen, Dyson hair dryer, and some we didn't even get a chance to use. You could have a longer term stay as the kitchen is fully equipped and Andrew is a very gracious and accommodating host. Will definitely consider staying again.

The place uses space and technology in the best possible way.

The space is set back in a quiet neighborhood and it feels like a cottage in the woods. The hosts have beautiful gardens, the trees are tall and shady. It’s convenient to downtown and especially the university area. There are wonderful restaurants within a five minute drive or even a nice walk. The hosts were welcoming and courteous but respectful of privacy. We had no issues but they did respond to some questions promptly. They provided plenty of local info in the space. In all, it was a wonderful experience and we hope to stay here next time.

Sharper image meets Ikea in this Boho treehouse

First let me say, communication was superb! Location was convenient for our needs for the weekend. Treehouse is located behind owners home and beautiful garden. The exterior feel is calming and organic and once you open the front door, you are transported to the future! The light fixtures, the bed and even the toilet are futuristic and fun! Space is well-appointed and clean and we appreciated the descriptions beside each piece of art. One item of note, the church steeple directly behind this property rings it bells at 6pm Saturday night and 8am Sunday morning. We thought it was a beautiful way to wake up!

Wonderful place great location excellent host

Ok so I like to give complete review the good and the less good so that someone like myself can assess via my needs when I travel. So lets start with the Pros: Basically everything:) The location was easy to get to, definitely safe neighborhood easy parking, you get option of street or driveway but I will say I chose street and always got a spot right in front of the house. They did a wonderful job making the walk up to the house in the evening absolutely gorgeous, all the nice lighting and such. There is a beautiful private chill spot at base of the stairs to your place definitely worth having a morning tea there or an evening cocktail or whatever your fancy. Now the mini house, they did an excellent job with little details trying to anticipate what you may need. Fully stocked kitchen with better quality than most kitchen wear. The bed is awesome as it is adjustable for chilling for the major tv or if you want to sleep upright a bit etc.. cool little mini office off the bedroom. Excellent bang for the buck! There are byrd's "the scooters" near by those are fun and great way to scoot around with out your car. Andrew was excellent in that if you needed something he was on it, but also the day after check in he sent me a non intrusive email letting me know some recommended local eats. I thought that was great. Ok so before I run out of space I have to do Cons: To be clear in my book none of these are cons, but good to note for proper planning, 5 stars because I loved it and plan to come back in future. If you are heavier set this may be a caution for you, Bathroom is super small, shower especially, kitchen is tight for workability. Other than that potential Cons would be no blender for making smoothies, though unless blendtec or something on that level not really worth having anyway, Shower temp is tricky and thus wasteful of water, I suggest turn on Hot all the way and wait about 2min then almost only breathe on the cold to find decent balance. The cold overrides very quickly and easily, probably the most tricky balance act ever and I used to be a plumber so that is saying something. But again patience and persistence and you have got it:) Bring Qtips if you use. Off the top of my head I honestly think that is it, and with that you can see why I say the "CONS" are not really that more just good to know info.. The whole experience was excellent and I Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Thank you Andrew

The property was great and in a great location. Close to the stadium and campus but far enough from downtown for peace and quiet. The host provided everything that you could ask for and so much more. We will definitely be back.
