The room was clean and the area was cute but rooms were a little small; double beds were full-size. However, the bathrooms were large. The staff was lovely, super helpful and accommodating. The ruby bar was super cute, good drinks with live music.

If you’re looking for a peaceful little getaway, I can’t recommend The Ruby Hotel enough. It’s the perfect blend of cute, charming, and relaxing. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere just feels calm and welcoming. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with a cozy, boutique feel, and the views of the creek are absolutely beautiful—especially in the morning with a cup of coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine as the sun goes down. It’s one of those places where you can truly slow down and unwind. Everything about the stay felt intentional and easy, from the serene setting to the overall vibe of the property. Whether you’re planning a quick one-night escape or a longer stay, this spot is a hidden gem. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Our stay at the Ruby was even better than we expected! Everything was so clean! Was so nice to have our room cleaned and towels refreshed after just one night. Having the bar and restaurant just steps from our room was so convenient! Juan, the bartender, was a favorite! We will stay again! Thank you!

It was a terrible experience and I checked out within an hour of checking in. I killed 2 bugs flying around my room, found mold and spider webs behind the curtains but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was a fluke thing. Then when I went to shower, I found a tick type bug on the floor and was done. I tried to check out and while the hotel staff was nice, Expedia was ultimately no help in getting me a refund.

Wow! I have traveled nearly 100K miles in the past year and slept in 5 star luxury to budget motels - I have never felt as relaxed and comfortable in Texas. Great front desk reception and awesome drinks and food at the bar. Book your staycation at this boutique hotel and you won’t be disappointed.

My rating is a three due to certain criteria that I didn’t feel were up to what I expected. However, other things were very good. The best parts were the lovely bar and restaurant. Also the view from the rooms that faced the creek. My room faced the garden and pool and I did not think the view was very special. We had asked for a room with a walk-in shower for my mother. Our request was made right away when we reserved our rooms which we did as soon as we found out that this was going to be the block of rooms reserved for a wedding. They assured us that we would have a room with a walk-in shower. When we got there, we had a room with a large bathtub that my mother was absolutely unable to get into. The staff working at that time were not very accommodating, but in the end did find an appropriate room. So our check-in process really did not go very well. I thought the rooms were very dark in color, but they were clean overall. I had hoped that the pool would be heated, but it was not, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t use the bathing suit that I have packed. The location is excellent being very close to downtown. It was really nice to walk to town to get coffee and even better for the wedding guests who went barhopping after the wedding!

Very friendly staff, amazing location overlooking the creek with tons of wildlife. Very quiet with a comfy bed. The bar/restaurant is fantastic, and you can order it in for room service! We will definitely stay again.
