Disliked: Communication, location, listing accuracy
Worst experience renting that we have ever had. Property was described at 9.6 Exceptional but I could not access external reviews. There was no picture of the outside of the building but said “Great Location” in description. It is NOT a great location. Property is located in an old building in a neighborhood that may be safe but does not appear safe. There are couches, a mattress and garbage outside and in the neighborhood. The unit is located around the back of a building that houses 4 units. There was no lighting and as we arrived at 7:30pm it was dark and not ideal. I was traveling with another person but had I been solo I would have left. When we entered the unit we noticed there were blinds that could not be closed..in particular one upstairs in the main bedroom so anyone from outside could see inside especially at night. There were no curtains on any of the windows. The electronics were fairly useless..lots of cords..no remote for smaller bedroom. The unit is also not close to downtown as stated. It’s a good 15-20 minute drive. We left after the first night after I secured another place to stay. I messaged this host that we had left and I explained why when he asked. The host did not respond and it’s been 10 days.
