Property is up the hill. This provides great views of the marina and cruise ships but also means that you will have to drag your luggage across the whole town and up the hill to get checked in unless you catch a taxi or rent a golf cart which are all very busy at disembarkation. It’s cute and spacious but not updated at all

Great room in an old Victorian building. Fairly close to the mail street. The final 50 yards is a hill (if you have mobility issues maybe not for you)
The floors have great patios. There is a full size elevator. No coffee in the rooms but they do coffee downstairs
Overall neat, charming.

THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS PERFECT AND THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND BIG. FROM THE TIME YOU WALKED IN TO THE HOTEL YOU SAW HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS THERE. IF YOU GO ON TO THE LAST FLOOR THEY HAVE A PATIO THAT OVERSEES THE OCEAN AND THE VIEW WAS SO GORGEOUS.

We recently stayed at the Saint Lauren Hotel and had a mixed experience. The hotel is conveniently located in town, making it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Our room also had a beautiful view, which we really enjoyed. While the furniture is older, we understood that it’s part of the hotel’s charm and didn’t mind it.
Unfortunately, the bathroom situation was a major issue. When we first entered the room, the toilet was clogged. Since we were heading out to dinner, we informed the front desk on our way out and let them know they could enter the room to fix the issue while we were gone. The receptionist seemed surprised and mentioned she was the only one working in the entire hotel, which we found concerning.
When we returned a few hours later, we asked if the issue had been resolved and received a somewhat passive response that it had only been temporarily addressed, with a plumber needing to come the next day. Upon entering the room, we found packaging from a newly purchased toilet plunger left on the sink, and the toilet itself was wet with what appeared to be toilet water.
It seemed the staff member may have had to go out and purchase a plunger and handle the situation herself, which we can empathize with but the condition the room was left in was unsanitary and disappointing to return to, even if the toilet was functioning again.
The handling of this issue significantly impacted our stay.

The hotel was a good value. Just know that the rooms are basic. No coffee makers, refridgerator, glasses and toiletries are minimal but they offer coffee at the lobby, ice machine, have an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, comfy bed and pillows. They also have sitting area in the lobby, as well as a deck on the 2nd and 6th floor facing the ocean with tables and chairs. Great location to walk around town and the only grocery store in town.

The only good thing this room had was a view but I can't believe expedia would put a hotel like this on their website - two night stary in Catalina at this place was $826.00 - this hotel hadn't been updated since it was probably built - evrything about it was old - the bathroom was horrible - the sink faucet didn't really have running water - the water streamed in tiny pinrpricks from the faucet - the towels smelled horrible - the bed was so bad that whenever somebody rolled over the whole bed shook - the wifi didn't work until the afternoon of our second day - would definitely not recommend this hotel to anybody and I will not be using expedia in the future
