Some good, some bad - not accurately listed
Several issues with this property. I'll share the good as well as the not so good.
The good: Home is directly on the water - you can't beat the views, especially from the rooftop terrace. Property was clean and well maintained. Furnishings were modest, but we were only there two nights. Great jumping off point for SE Sicily. Easy drives to Ortigia, Modica, and Ragussa.
The bad: Not accurately listed. The unit is a duplex - nowhere in the listing does it explain that you will only have access to one side of the unit. We traveled as two couples, expecting to share the entire unit, only to arrive and find that we only had half the unit. Directions - terrible. GPS is useless in this area - the property doesn't have a traditional address and is nearly impossible to find. If you arrive after sunset - good luck. We contacted the owner, who met us near the unit and directed us there, but had we not done that, not sure how we would have found it. Parking situation is dubious. Very, very tight getting in and out. We had an Audi A4 station wagon and had a lot of difficulty navigating to/from the property. If you rent a car larger than this, you may not be able to get in and out. Property owner wasn't real responsive, other than meeting us to guide us in. He really didn't have any reason for the listing discrepancy and made no effort to make anything right.
This unit is OK, but you will want to ask a lot of questions.
