Very attentive staff, and a clean, serene hotel. Good food options on site, and easy to get to busier locations. Would highly recommend the elephant safari. Massage was great too! Nice, big gym which was always empty - has a bench and most machines you need for a good workout.

As pleasant as always. Clean, well maintained rooms. Nice food with LOT of alternatives. Marvelous pool and surroundings.

Property has everyone a guest would want to spend their holiday with the biggest highlight being the pool with an amazing view to the Lion’s Rock.
Location is a short drive to everything but you need to have a driver or take taxis to get around to anywhere including landmarks, restaurants (especially if hotel restaurants are closed), & cafes.
They have many activities such as Paper Factory Visit, Pottery & Cycling all included in the stay. Staff was also very helpful which made the stay pleasant.
Some Detractors:
- Chinese restaurant was closed. We were here celebrating our anniversary and wanted to spend the evening of our anniversary there but was quite disappointed when we discovered it was closed.
- Breakfast does not include milk coffee (Flat White) & you will be charged additional amount for it which was my first time experiencing it in a 5 Star Properly.
- Pathway to cabins are poorly illuminated and not all lights are turned on. Normally this is not a problem but the property has wildlife within the premises making the walk during the night feel scary.
- Mountain bikes provided are squeaky and need to be better maintained.
- Cabin had leaky shower with water spilling into the rest of the bathroom.
- Although small, I had mentioned when booking we are travelling to celebrate our anniversary, all other properties in Sri Lanka did something cute inside the room (Towel Decoration, Welcome Cake, & other cute things) with the exception of this place.

Kæmpe hotel uden så mange værelser
Stort og flot hotel, men kun 94 værelser, men føles ikke sådan, fordi man bor i huse på den enorme grund.

We enjoyed our time at Aliya. The pool was lovely. Only downside is that the staff were nice, but not as welcoming as the other resorts we stayed at in Sri Lanka

A lovely hotel close to Sigiriya rock. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large, comfortable and clean.
We went to the Sri Lankan restaurant and this was a nice experience that was more like you had gone to someone’s house for dinner. No menu, but the chef was a local lady who came around with the wait staff to serve you. Lots of food that was all very tasty.
