“I cannot say enough great things about my trip to this resort. Luis at the reception desk was incredibly positive, enthusiastic, and helpful. This kid is going places in life. All the staff from the restaurant workers to the pool girls leading samba dances to the cleaning staff were outstanding and dedicated to doing a great job with hospitality. “The location of the hotel couldn't be better, about 8-10min walk toward the Light Tower and museum - a major attraction of Barra - and 5-7 min walk to the Morro do Cristo monument for fantastic coastline views. One can easily rent a beach umbrella with chairs just across the street to enjoy the ocean, breathing air, and quiet beach. “The property is beautiful, but the staff will leave you wanting more. This is a beautiful resort in a beautiful location. We found however compared to all inclusive resorts in other countries, the staff just had no desire to please the guests. There was no urgency or willingness to help. They just show up and do their jobs. Which for some people may be fine, but we are used to extreme levels of hospitality at all inclusive resorts. It all started from check in. “3 times I told the hotel via Expedia that my husband would check into the hotel before me because I was arriving very late (after midnight). The hotel did not welcome or acknowledge my request, nor did it respond. I have the feeling that the messages to / from me and the hotel via Expedia are not actually helpful. We have been going to the same hotel for probably 10 years when in Salvador, but they always act like we are strangers.”

“Absolutely loved our stay. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by the most stunning natural setting. The jungle and beach together make it feel truly special.
