"Stayed for two nights. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. The lodge is situated close to the river which is good for swimming and has it's own forest reserve. We did two very enjoyable guided walks on the reserve with local guides who were extremely knowledgeable. We stayed in the family room which was rather rustic but plenty big enough for a family of four. The main frustration was the cold shower which didn't get fixed despite reporting on the first day. Breakfast was good, dinner is an optional buffet and is not worth it. "

The location is in the heart of the city, directly across from what I would call the town square. Highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!"

The rooms are very simple (youth hostel standard) but it is well-kept. The surroundings (lots of birds) are magical and fresh (lovingly-prepared) breakfast and dinner was very good. It is remote (that makes it special) so you do need a car or rely on transport. Highly recommend doing the Green Rivers rafting tour and the Night Tour with Sarapiqui Xperience (all booked via the hotel). "
