What an amazing house up in the mountains! The view is incredible with vibrant sunsets and twinkling stars at night. The house itself has 3 ensuite bedrooms/bathrooms, all with grand views. The house is spacious and modern. The pool (semi-cold) is large with an expansive view of the Pacific. It is a special place.Highlights - A diverse range of birds, toucans, montezuma oropendola, hummingbirds, summer tanagers, and more. At the jungle's edge we had coati, peccary, and agouti. There is a grill and kitchen basics which enabled us to cook most breakfasts and dinners there. Getting to this property is definitely an adventure and not for the faint of heart. We are mountain people and found the drive to be challenging (though once we got used to it, easier). It is a solid 25 minutes up and down harrowing rocky/dirt roads with steep grades. We did it in an AWD RAV4, but would HIGHLY suggest a 4-WD vehicle. We were mostly in first gear (sport mode) and bottomed out a few times. If you are looking for a place to come in and out multiple times a day, this is not the place for you. For our trip it was perfect - we left in the morning for an activity and came back for sunset and dinner and relaxation time. Diana and Roberto of Unique CR are amazing hosts and the most responsive hosts I've ever had, their team was super helpful with questions and recommendations. I would not hesitate to rent a property from them again.
