This property is in desperate need of renovation, which they claim is coming. Only half of the elevators worked, the gym was rundown and the keycard entry was broken, so not secure. The rooms were old, TV had lines running through the display, desk chair was broken. Highlight - staff was generally very pleasant and helpful.

First the positive. Staff we interacted with was courteous and the bed was comfy, although I wish hotels would get past the trend of giant comforters and no blankets, which leaves you either too hot or too cold. The negatives: furniture was really beat up, Halls were really dark and dreary, there was no shower gel in the dispenser (which of course one only discover after they are actually in the shower). Oddest of all, although the room provided a selection of coffees and teas, there was no way to heat water -- neither a coffee maker or a microwave. I expect better from Marriott, especially at this price point.

I was surprised to discover that the Marriot Bonvoy located 4 blocks away from the National Aquarium doesn't have a microwave. This is a relatively high end Airport in a major city on the east coast missing a basic amenity. We loved that we could park the car and not be worried about it. The room was ok, you can tell they just stuck us somewhere, but for what we needed it for it suited our needs... we had no hot water, but they fixed it right away... the front door staff were amazing!!!

The staff at this hotel are wonderful, and they all seem like they really love their jobs. Thanks especially to Jolanda, Carlton, and Erik for your kindness and upbeat personalities! I enjoyed talking to all three of you. We had a great stay. Food and drinks at The Yard were good, hotel clean. The hotel is older, so make sure to bring your block for your chargers - no usb charging available in the rooms, just standard electrical outlets (though they were also present in the lamp next to the bed, so thats helpful). Its not the hotel thats unsafe, its Baltimore as a whole and the area just a couple blocks away. I felt safe at the hotel itself, and walking to the harbor area down Pratt street was ok later in the day. If I go back to Baltimore, I would stay here again.

We didn't have towels in our room. We had to ask 3 times and wait over an hour and housekeeping seemed very bothered that we requested towels.

Staff was AMAZING! Everyone helpful, friendly. Must be a good place to work as good management makes good employees. Concerned that fitness room lock doesn't work. Anyone can get in. Security should be better in an inner-city facility. Was disappointed that maids change my towels even though they were hung up to save resources. But they did a good job of cleaning my room.
