Perfect once again
This was our second time in this villa. Yet again a wonderful stay. Absolutely great host. Beautiful house, stunning outdoor space: we enjoyed our meals on the terrace next to the pool. Secluded place where we felt at home and managed to relax away from the noise, our work.. and then also perfect location close to Bandol vineyards, the very quaint Castellet, the markets in Sanary sur Mer and Cassis, the famous calanques of Cassis... we will definitely come back!

LE PARADIS SUR TERRE...
Villa Castellet is exactly as it is advertised, and in some cases even better.
From the large swimming pool, to the plump lounge chairs, to the outdoor barbecue, everything is as should be. Clean, fresh and comfortable. That's only the outside. For inside I'll use a quote I once heard, "It is a very easy Villa to live in", with large bedrooms, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, jacuzzi and a super large dining table with a very relaxing large living area. For a wonderful, peaceful and quiet vacation, this is the place.

A lovely house and wonderful pool
We stayed in this villa for 3 weeks and had a fabulous stay, Jean-Marie was extremely helpful and discreet. The villa is tucked up high in the hills with wonderful views over the valley. An unmade up road access is bumpy but well worth it for access to the villa. It is more of a drive than a walk to the local town which caters for most things with 2 very good supermarkets. The villa has air conditioning, essential for the hot summer months and all the floors are cool tiles. We spent most days in and around the wonderful pool which was absolutely brilliant, ideal for young and old due to the great step access. There are 2 bathroom, including one en-suite shower room and 2 toilets. With larger groups, more bathroom facilities would have been helpful but there was a shower outside by the pool for hot days which helped a lot. We loved this property and would have no hesitation in recommending to others. Thank you Jean-Marie for a fabulous holiday in a beautiful part of France.

A lovely villa in a wonderful location
We have recently returned from a wonderful week's 3-generation family holiday (6 adults and two infants) at Le Castellet. The villa was easy to find from the directions given and on approaching from the rough track which leads from the road it looked just as impressive as the photos on the Homeaway website. The villa is located in a large, very secluded plot with its own beautiful swimming pool, large lawns and lovely views over the nearby vineyards and hills back towards the village of Le Beausset. The owner Jean-Marie Bellanger, who lives below, is extremely helpful and friendly, keeping out of sight for most of the week but always on hand for anything that we might need.
The villa was spacious and spotlessly clean, with most of the amenities we could have wanted. We used all four bedrooms - one very large double room with an additional pull-out double bed from which we used the mattress to make up a child's bed on the floor; two medium-sized doubles (only one of which had storage for clothes); and a fourth one with twin beds and en-suite shower room. The main bathroom was spacious and well-appointed and we were especially impressed by the Jacuzzi bath with changing multi-coloured lights (just slightly confused by why the toilet was raised up on a plinth). There is another small toilet elsewhere with hand wash basin. The kitchen and the adjoining utility room were adequate, with a large fridge and freezer, but not quite enough working space for food preparation and some kitchen crockery and utensils needed updating. The combined lounge and dining room were very spacious and comfortable. The house benefits from electrically-operated blinds throughout, which are needed to keep out the full sun in the afternoon and to prevent a 5am start to the day.
The greatest attraction though was the outdoor area - a lovely shaded verandah with comfortable settees, leading to the swimming pool which has shallow steps which were perfect for a little one to play on. We spent most of our days in and out of the pool. There is a large dining table and chairs under the shade of a tree which can be lit up at night. The water temperature was a constant 27-29 degrees on our visit. There are more than enough sun loungers and parasols.
All in all a lovely villa and pool in a truly exceptional location, all enhanced by superb early June weather with constant sunshine and temperatures in the mid-20s. If the occasion arose again we would definitely think of going back

Sehr schöne Unterkunft - ruhig am Berg gelegen
War ein sehr schöner Urlaub auf einem tollen Anwesen. Jean-Marie (Vermieter) ist vor Ort, wenn man was braucht und kümmert sich dezent im Hintergrund (oder wenn man unterwegs ist) um die Technik (Pool, Rasenmäher). Küchenausstattung ist sehr gut, alles vorhanden was man braucht. Kühlschrank mit Wasserspender und Eiswürfeln ist vorhanden, funktionierende Klimaanlage, Waschmaschine, ... rund um - sehr zu empfehlen. Einzig zu beachten - wenn man auf die Straße abbiegt, der Höhenunterschied vom Schotter zur Straße - kann sein, dass man leicht aufgeht. Hab JM darauf hingewiesen, dass er etwas aufschottert.
Tolle Bäckerei/Konditorei in Le Beausset am Kreisel nach der Tankstelle - wird auf Karten nicht als Bäckerei ausgewiesen. Metzger im Ort von Le Beausset ebenfalls sehr gut. Besuch in Le Castellet ist ein Muss - entweder gleich in der früh oder am Abend. Ansonsten aufgrund der engen Gassen sehr warm. Sehr zu empfehlen. Gruß an JM und vielen Dank.

Eine Oase!
Das Haus ist sauber, sehr modern und gut ausgestattet. Die Anlage ist bestens gepflegt, der Außenbereich ist wunderschön! Der Gastgeber ist immer erreichbar und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Haus ist auch für kleine Kinder bestens geeignet. Die großen Stufen im Pool sind perfekt für das Baden mit kleinen Kindern. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder!

Nous avons passé deux excellentes semaines dans cette belle villa. La piscine était constamment chauffée à 27 degrés. La villa est aménagée avec goût et de bonne qualité. Le propriétaire était très conviviale et toujours à l'écoute. Nous pouvons seulement recommander cette villa!

Excellent location - beaches are 10-15 min away (by car) / large supermarket, excellent baker, again 7-10 min away.
Le Castellet is a very quaint town that is definitely worth the visit.

Magnifique séjour
La villa est tres spacieuse, bien équipée, les espaces extérieurs sont magnifiques, la piscine chauffée est un vrai plus et les transat d'un confort absolu. L'emplacement en pleine nature, au milieu des montagnes et des oliviers nous offre un calme et un panorama apaisant. Les échanges avec M Bellanger sont fluides et agréables, merci pour ce beau séjour

super séjour en famille dans un endroit magnifique au calme,la villa est superbe,il ne manque rien pour passer un un séjour de rêve,la maison est super spacieuse et éclairée,l'équipement est au top,les extérieures magnifiques avec une belles piscine chauffée 30°,des transats confortables ,un grand salon de jardin abrité par une grande tonnelle découvrable ,le terrain arboré d'olivier ,palmier .... une belle cuisine d’été avec sa plancha et gazinière, des jeux de piscine des jeux de société une table de ping-pong,grande table extérieur,le propriétaire super sympa,disponible en cas de besoin et discret,nous l'avons vu pour l’accueil et pour le départ ,on s'est sentis très à l'aise comme si on étaient chez nous et on a eu du mal a repartir nous avons tout de suite adopté la propriété et l'endroit ,enfin bref petit paradis pour vacances et séjour en famille avec des enfants, entre amis ou en amoureux,je recommande à 100% ,nous languissons notre prochain séjour

Formidable, Super !!!
On a passé un séjour formidable. Le villa était très spatieux et très bien décoré. Mon mari est en chaise roulante et on n'a eu aucun probléme pour le déplacement dans la maison.
La situation de la maison était parfaite. Le Var, comme on dit "La Provence verte" est très jolie, on était prés de la mer et en meme temps tout pres des villages midiévalles, perchées...
Touts les jours il y avait le BBQ près de la piscine, qui marchait parfaitement !
La piscine était chauffée et très grande, que ca faisait du bien !
On avait une vue splendide, puisque la maison était contruite sur une colline.
Le grand jardin avec des palmiers, des oliviers et des cypres était SUPER beau.
Le propriétaire Mr. Bellanger était très sympa et très aimable.
Vraiment à recommender !!!

a really nice place to spend the vacation
me and my family visited this beautiful mansion for the second time.
this time we were staying for 1 week longer and enjoyed it a lot.
A beautiful house and the surrounding creates a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere, also the huge pool is just great! Mr Bellanger is always in a good temper and supportive in case we would be in need of something.

BEAUTIFUL VILLA IN PEACEFUL LOCATION
We went to this villa with family to celebrate a special birthday and it lived up to expectations. The inside was beautiful and the outside area was immaculate and very well maintained. There were more than enough loungers etc. and given the hot weather the seating area in the shade was a necessity. The pool was a large one and we used it well but although it was advertised as being heated it was not. Some minimum heating would have made it perfect and to be fair Monsieur Bellanger did offer to heat it but that was near the end of our holiday so we didn't feel it was necessary by then.
Although we received directions on how to get to the villa they were quite vague and finding it proved to be very difficult. Might I suggest that the owner arrange to meet clients at a nearby location, e.g. the Fire Station at Le Bousset.
Also, the property was advertised as having Satellite television but there were only 2 British TV channels available, both News channels. There were DVD's there but they were mostly in French - not ideal when there are children who need to have some entertainment and a reprieve from the hot sunshine. Apart from those minor points I would not hesitate in recommending this villa and I hope to return there one day. Irene Rodger
