深夜の訪問にも関わらず笑顔で迎えてくれて安心しました。 オシャレな見た目の宿で夜の明かりが とても癒されて素敵でした✨ お部屋も清潔で気持ちよく過ごせました。 日本人だと、シャワーの水圧が弱いと感じるかもしれません。 朝食は毎回美味しく、 スパイスが苦手な方でもノンスパイスなので安心です。 至れり尽くせりで毎日楽しみにしてました。 タイティーを毎日飲んでましたが、タイティーが美味しすぎて大好きになりました！ フルーツも甘くて全部美味しいです！ アイコンサイアム側なので 川を渡らないといけない場所も多かったですが、船ですぐだし、 トゥクトゥクで帰ってくるのも距離があり、楽しかったです！ 近くのマッサージ屋さんも非常に良かったので ３日連続で行きました。 またいつか、来たいと思います😊 最高の旅になりました！ ありがとうございました！

Very sweet little hotel in a cool little corner of the city. Staff was very nice and helpful, clean rooms, all very cozy. I stayed for 2 nights to explore Bangkok and I‘d come back anytime. There was so much to see just a short walk away.

The Focal Local was my refuge amidst the chaos of Bangkok. Spotless and quiet room, smiling staff, secure and unique. I was happy to return there each evening and plan to stay there should I return to Bangkok. Phun the receptionist was SO nice, w great Englisha and local reccomendations.

A great place to stay! The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was large and the shower water pressure was strong. The Thai breakfast was delicious and varied. The location was convenient as it was nearby many restaurants and massage parlours, and the complimentary TukTuk rides to the nearby train station/pier was a nice bonus. Street noise can be heard from the room like other reviews stated, but it wasn’t bothersome to me. I do wish there was a way to heat up food on the property, but I also didn’t ask the staff about it on time. The staff really elevated the experience as they were all friendly and ready to assist with a smile on their face. They were quick to accommodate another guest’s dietary preferences by substituting ingredients for their Thai breakfast, and they even offered to prepare a packed meal when they heard that the same guest would be leaving early in the morning. They also left a basket outside my room filled with extra water bottles, toilet paper, and coffee/tea when I placed the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. If I ever get the chance to visit Bangkok again, I would love to stay here a second time!

I had a nice stay here. It's a cute place. The room was clean, comfortable, and nice and quiet. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The ride to the ferry pier was a nice touch. Breakfast was yummy.

Small B&B in a neighborhood in Bangkok but staff does goes above and beyond. Super clean, friendly staff, good set breakfast, and staff willing to do anything they can to help you. Only minor issue is you can hear everything from the streets in the bedroom.

I can't say enough good things about this place. It was exactly what I was hoping it would be! Amazing location close enough to everything to be convenient, but in a sweet neighborhood. There's an amazing vegan restaurant within walking distance which was a big plus. I loved the free tuk-tuk service to the station or pier. And the hotel had a really helpful map and suggestions of things close by. The room was quite large and had everything I could have wanted. And the people were the sweetest! I wish I'd found this place my first trip to Bangkok! I will come back again and again. One of Bangkok's best kept secrets!

Great little hidden gem

Excellent stay at Focal Local. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Good location in a quiet neighborhood but close to the major tourist sites. Easy to get a taxi. Great breakfast served every morning. It’s a little slice of tranquility in a very chaotic city!

Nostagic Bed and Breakfast with history

Focal Local is located in an authentic old Bangkok 'alley/street' and has been refurbished with 'antique' style and reverence to historic modes of decoration. The walls to the patios are painted in vivacious Thai-colours that radiate light. Breakfast, (western or thai), is ample, well presented and delicious. The omelette chef is wonderful! An additional delight is the Grandmother's house, open at weekends. For anyone who loves vintage and nostalgia, one can step in to 1930s style, sit down, and savour an assortment of teas, and thai cakes. I was prepared a splendid display, with special touches, that eshewed elegance and taste. There are savoury options too. The ambience is a treat. You are living in those moments, 1930s style. Do go. Finally, to mention, that, the family offer you a complementary 5 minute ride in a tuk tuk to arrive at the BTS station in the morning when you step out to explore. From there you have access to the entire BTS network, and the free river crossing from Icon Siam to Saphan Thaksin. The latter is the Oriental hotel side of the Chao Praya river. I feel that the only location to stay is in old Bangkok, as each year I go, I see something devoured by a glitzy skyscraper, meticulously constructed to appear as though it could fall down. By the river, you see the canals and you see lives still lived alongside water. Your whole experience is nourishment. Indeed an education! Go stay at Focal Local and experience 'the real' with Karan and his family.
