We checked in when the hotel had only started operations for 19 days, and bore the brunt of some teething but unacceptable problems.
1) Halfway through our stay (we were there for 8 nights), we noticed 3 articles of clothing had gone missing from our room when we returned at night. We called the receptionist, who told us they would check whether our clothes had been accidentally taken and sent for cleaning together with the hotel towels. When we checked in the next morning, they said the cleaner did not find our clothes. A request for another check to be conducted yielded a nil return as well. While the clothes were not of high monetary value, they bore sentimental value to us. Yet the hotel staff neither assumed responsibility nor displayed empathy. They also did not proactively provide any updates until we approached them. Very disappointing service and attitude.
2) Housekeeping standards would differ day by day. We would return to our room to varying placements of various items, with essentials like toilet paper and toiletries not refilled.
3) When we checked out, we asked the staff for help in booking Grab service - specifically, the drop-off address that would allow us to take an airport shuttle. We had done our research online, but was not fully sure of the info as we didn't understand Thai. Two staff that we met both told us they were not sure, yet did not offer to help to check on this and merely asked us to call a taxi. Again, disappointing service.
