Love the view!

We stay in 7-D frequently- this was our most favorite stay! Amazing views! Good space for family in the house. Great gathering spaces for playing games, eating together and watching football. Fun was had by all!

Nice property however needs some improvements

This property is in a great location however be aware that cell service is almost non existent. The property looked like it was in great condition however there were still dishes in the dishwasher, remotes to TVs were not with correct TVs, heater downstairs did not seemTo work.. The internet went down and would not come back online and then an alarm went off that would not stop so we had need up leaving. Fosco rentals however was very responsive and did find us a secondary place to stay the next evening which I though was even in a better location. Hopefully they fix some of these issues as the property looked very nice. I would at a minimum suggest though a landline since with no internet and no cell service via Verizon was possible.

False advertising! The main floor fireplace didn’t work, the downstairs had no heat and that fireplace wreaked of gas. The floors needed sanding 10 years ago. The house is not at all maintained. The master tv didnt work. Christmas decor was still up in Feb even though I requested them to come down beforehand. The views were beautiful and location was great. Wouldn’t return. The house could be great with proper maintenance

Not what expected

I would like to start with wow what a beautiful view, the location and accessibility of all the surrounding attractions was exceptional. Layout of the home was wonderful for a family to enjoy each other company. Now that being said, we had disappointments in the qualifying and upkeep of the home. To start, the flooring on the main floor looks nothing like the pictures, it is rundown. One of the sofas on the main floor is so rundown that repair is done with the piece of tape. The outdoor decks are full of mold and urgently need pressure cleaning. The gas grill is almost unusable. Handles in one of the bedroom dressers were broken. The washing machine had wet towels left inside causing moldy odors. The balance of the heating was impossible to control. We suggest that these items be addressed before renting to next person

great place to stay! rating 4/5 as there could have been more blankets and kitchen towels; it was obvious the place had just been cleaned but there were still long hairs from the previous guests in the shower and a quarter of paper towel left in the kitchen. great location and beautiful house with a pond nearby. the host was easy to work with and had prompt communication when needed.

Lovely cabin, beautiful views

Modestly decorated for Christmas, the cabin was clean and in a good location. The listing is accurate about the very steep driveway, which is shared with another property further up an even steeper driveway. The cabin is well used, and very well stocked on blankets and kitchen items. It was hard to get a balance of temperature on all 3 floors, but we worked it out. The views from all the windows are stunning. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This cabin was easy to find, immaculately clean, and the beds were sooooo comfy. Also, to be a pet friendly rental, I was so impressed with how clean this cabin was! My only gripe would be they still had Christmas decorations out and this is March. We were celebrating my daughter’s sweet 16 on St. Patrick’s Day so the Christmas decor wasn’t cute with my decor! Other than that, this place was so perfect and we will be back!

Clear view of Grandfather Mountain

The common spaces were spacious and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked. Christmas decorations were still up in February, which was quirky. The upstairs was almost too warm from the fireplace heat settling up at the top. The basement was surprisingly spacious and seemed perfect for a family with kids. The top bunk had a thin pad, which wasn't comfortable. It's a great house, and some of us considered coming back with our families.

This cabin was very nice. Nice layout that let everyone spread out. Very comfortable beds except one mattress on the trundle bed needs replacing because it is flat and bumpy. Nice that there are gates on the porch to keep pets or small kids contained. Gorgeous view of a grandfather mountain. Convenient location. It is well insulated and the rooms are quiet. I have stayed in cabins before where you could hear everyone in the entire place but this one is very quiet and private. There are plenty of sitting areas with TVs but It would have been nice to have a TV in the living space by the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again.

Great house; all that you need

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was great to be able to take our dog Tess. We so appreciate that! The house is really nice. Plenty of space. We enjoyed having no TV upstairs to just sit and chill, drink coffee, etc. (There are plenty of TVs throughout the house and the view from the livingroom/deck is incredible. )We loved having a firepit too. Although, we will say, just be careful with yourself or kids while enjoying; the house is built on the side of a mountain! Overall no complaints. Would definitely stay again. PS-Dont sweat the review about the floors. They are hardwood and worn but is that really that big of a deal? We didn't think so. And the fireplace...No problem lighting for any competent. The "gas smell" wasn't anything I've never experienced before with any other propane fireplace.

Great: Views, space, location, quiet, hot tub, WiFi Okay: Appliances aged and tired, refrigerator leaks from water supply, decks & floors need TLC, furniture is worn and tired (but comfortable) Less than okay: TV's (4) all had three controls--very complicated configuration, all controllers needed batteries--which we purchased. The TV's would be more usable with video (Roku/Apple TV streaming. Questionable: The driveway to the home got worse over the 30 days we spent. Using it was a bit like "off-roading" in the mountains.

college graduation

Celebrating my daughter's graduation along with several family members from all around the state. We loved the large areas to visit and catch up. The deck was a hit with beautiful views. Very pleased with the complete kitchen included everything we needed to cook with. Plenty of room. We were a little disappointed in the fire pit area. The top of a tree had fallen across part of the seating and the area was grown up around it. I did call upon arriving Thursday to ask about getting a weedeater . A man showed up Saturday and confirmed it needed mowing. We did start a fire but family not comfortable with sitting in the overgrown area. Overall everyone was delighted with the home and the experience.
