it is a nice enough hotel for the money ($20). Right in the middle of town so bars and restaurants are very close. Bedding and linens were clean, staff was friendly. Good for those on a budget

The property was in the city center close to everything. Staff was really nice and cooperative. Place is a little outdated, has mold. Also theres a street singer that starts singing @ 7 am that wake you up in the morning. Breakfast was really nice.

Decent room, good location, low on service
Fine hotel, very central placed in Baños with large rooms and large beds. The WiFi is quite decent. Good breakfast with bread, juice, coffee, cheese and ham.
The staff is friendly and smiling, but the attention around the reception is poor and people often have to wait there to be serviced. They have a bell which rings every time a new guest comes in, which is loud and repeated. We stayed at the lower floor, right out to the breakfast area. Both employees and guests are very noisy, both at night and early mornings - which made it hard to sleep. The cleaning service was a bit slow when we were there, and on the day we had to leave, the service happened after 4pm.
No tienen ventiladores portátiles
El parqueo está lejos del hotel y no hay facilidad ni asistencia con el equipaje.
No coffee in the morning, keys laying out upstairs so anyone can get into any room in fact empty room doors are open, but that didnt nother me. Again, NO COFFEE I had to force the front desk guy to boil me some water. SO LOUD!!!! Its just the area but also the clientele as it is by the bar street. No outside walls to street its just open air. There are ant or rat traps in each of the bathroom windows coming into each room. At least they are there I guess, but ewww disconcerting. Also at first we had no hot water he said leave it running 5 minutes then when still icy went to do some work upstairs a couple of times and finally made it lukewarm ish. I did take a shower in it, but my daughters who had her own room next door didnt. I hate saying bad stuff. It was okay to stay but this is what it was and we left as soon as we woke up to move down the street. The staff was nice and got me a taxi.
Large rooms with large beds that were comfortable. Adequate bathroom - pretty simple but has nice hot water. Good breakfast and pretty decent service. Great work!
Being that the place was in the heart of the town which is great, and knowing the limited space in situations like that. It was a great place to stay overall.

I reserved a King Size bed, but we were given a small room with a queen size bed. The curtain did not cover the entire window and the light from the hallway made it impossible to be dark during the night. It seems everything in Ecuador echos due to tile floors, concrete and mountains. This hotel is in the middle of down town, so bring ear plugs. There are nice rooms downstairs that look very romantic and actually have king size beds. But to book them online it says they are for one person. Breakfast was really good.
Door was broken, upper glass was missing. I asked front desk to fix at 08:30 am and I returned to hotel back at 3:30 pm and still was not fixed. I didn't like the service so I checked out and up until this day I have not received my refund for three rooms.
Do not go to this hotel. Is a ripoff..
A true nightmare. The worst part was how loud this hotel was. It’s across a fitness studio that blasted music from 7 am to 9 pm. After that there were drunk people screaming and dogs barking. The walls were not soundproof in the slightest.
There was mould all over the shower curtain and shower. There was no air circulation and the room was muggy and smelly. The room was very small and was not what was pictured when we booked. We put down a king bed and received a full.
The parking was 4 blocks away which is highly inconvenient. There’s also a horrible doorbell sound every time someone walks in and it goes on throughout the night.
The only plus side was it was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars (which made the area very loud) and the staff were friendly.
This is an excellent choice of hotel to stay in Banos. Right in the heart of town everything is only steps away.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. One girl in particular (Cecilia) a lady!! Went above and beyond her normal duties, she recommended and organized activities for me and just a very nice and helpful person. As all the staff are.
You won’t go wrong booking this Hotel.
Highly recommend.
Thank you all 👍👍👍👌👌👌
It is a nice hotel in the right center of Banos. Surrounded by all kind of restaurants, shopping places, cultural facilities, etc. Friendly staff and very good breakfast served to your table. The only negative point was that the hotel changed its name and no longer is Hotel Paraiso. That is why it was difficult for us to identify the hotel location when we arrived. They said that the name change was provided to Expedia time ago.
The Paraiso hotel was hard to find since its name has changed to Hotel Meraki...
Online information was somewhat misleading: The promised free parking was a locked lot 3 blocks away. There is no parking in front to drop off luggage. The room was small and stuffy with one window, towards the corridor and smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals. Still, the toothbrush holder in the bathroom was dirty and moldy...
On the plus side, the staff was cheerful and friendly and the breakfast was plentiful and good. The location is very good, in the lively center of town.
We arrived to find out that the hotel had recently been sold and was in the process of being changed. During our time there, some light renovations were being done. Yet, the hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating to us. Despite the transition, we were still well pleased.
