"The hotel is located in the center of this small village. A easy 10 minute walk from the train station. The train station is very basic with a platform and a small covered sitting area, for when it is raining.
This village has only two taxi's so planning through pre-booking is a must. On the day of our check-out, even after pre-booking, traffic conditions almost side-railed our next leg of our adventure. The hotel's receptionist, I forgot to ask her name, was very instrumental in getting us another form of car ride so we could make our connection. This is just one way this hotel made our stay in Cahir great.
The hotel's lyft was out of order and all rooms are located on the two floors above the reception. My wife and I have not been very successful in knowing which essentials to pack, so our suitcases are the large ones, that weigh close to the airplane's 50 pound max. On the day of our arrival, painting was being completed on the stairs leading up to all the rooms.
It was becoming a chore for me to get up the stairs with our overloaded bags, until the two gentleman painting the the stairs, stopped their work to help me carry our bags up to our room.
Breakfast is awesome and one must order from a set menu. Not steam table food but a plate of food that requires the server to use a pot holder to serve the hot meal.
The bus stop is approximately 100 feet outside the hotel's door.
Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.
