Great house for gathering with friends. Easy walk to stores and restaurants in Bar Harbor. Short drive to Acadia National Park. All in all the perfect place to stay!

There were 5 of us staying at the cottage for a girls trip and we LOVED the house! We are in our 60’s and love to walk and try different bars and restaurants, as well as shop. The location of the house was perfect. Such an easy walk to everything in town. We also spent time in Acadia every day and it was a quick and easy drive to the park! The house was clean and well stocked and very comfortable! We all said that if we are ever back in Bar Harbor that we would definitely stay at this house again!

This house is clean, comfortable and in a convenient location for exploring Bar Harbor. The three bedrooms upstairs were great except for the door to one of them doesn't latch tight and we needed to put a shoe in the opening to prevent it from continually opening and closing and waking us up. The only bedroom downstairs has a bunk bed in it. Not sure if the VRBO description says that. Also the grill ran out of gas before our food was done. It would've been nice to have a spare at the property.

Great stay overall! Location was absolutely perfect - very quiet and calm neighborhood, but within 10 mins walk to the village centre, and 10 mins drive to Acadia. Rooms were clean, bathrooms small but fine, and kitchen well stocked with essentials. We had a family of adults and toddlers, and we cooked a lot of meals at home.Note; For any parents with young kids, there are also two new pack and plays available in the house, as well as a baby/toddler booster seat (as of Aug 2025).Only two challenges worth noting, which were called out on a post-it on the fridge when we arrived: 1) kitchen sink faucet is sensitive and somewhat fiddly - water sprays all over, and 2) Wi-Fi information in the VRBO booking check-in steps is incorrect, but the correct info is again posted on the refrigerator.Had a great time in Bar Harbor! Thank you Steve.

Very clean property, even the basement being older home was very clean!This home is very well located and stocked. We were able to walk downtown easily,groceries only a few blocks and the ride into Acadia was minutes.Plenty of room for our family of 4 and the office worked well for the few times work came up!We knew there was no central air conditioning and the fans did help but having some window units to sleep would have been nice since it gets warmer upstairs, something to think about if you are going to be there in the warmer weather.

Great Bar Harbor location

The house was perfect for our family. It was a few minute walk to everything downtown. It was also a short drive to Acadia National Park. Would highly recommend.

July 4th win Bar Harbor

Great location. Convenient to downtown and trails in the national park. I am accustomed to vrbo properties having shampoos, plenty of TP, bath soap and had to buy everything but left for the next guests. Bathrooms were very small.

Great location!

This property was nice and close to the Village green, walking distance to the restaurants and shops. A short drive to all the beautiful local hikes!The house was very clean and uncluttered. Would definitely book this home again with our family!

Perfect location

The house is perfect. It is located in walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor, and a short drive to Acadia. This VRBO is the cleanest house we have ever stayed at. We will definitely be back.

"Girls' Weekend"

We had 3 generations of women celebrating Mom's 90th birthday. The house was close (1/2 mile) to downtown Bar Harbor so we walked instead of having to pay for parking. Even though there were 6 of us, we never felt crowded. Everyone had space to do whatever they wanted to do. In the evenings we sat at the table and played cards or worked a puzzle. It was wonderful having such a nice space to spend time together.

Girlfriends getaway

6 hs girlfriends had a most enjoyable stay in Bar Harbor. Location, location, location! We had an easy walk into town with no worries about parking. The drive to Acadia was less than 10 to 15 minutes. The neighborhood was quiet. The property was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We utilized the big kitchen table to play games and enjoyed the deck outback. It was nice to have a washer and dryer available and we took advantage of it. We had one minor issue (could not find the silverware as it was in what-we-thought was a faux drawer) that was handled immediately to our satisfaction. Highly recommend- would stay again.

Great stay

Bar Harbor/Acadia Vacation

Our family had a wonderful stay in this cozy house! The location is on a quiet street that is walkable to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia is just a short drive away. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Would definitively stay here again!

Our Stay Glen Mary

The location of the house to bar harbor was fantastic. As mentioned in other reviews there was a musty smell when got there, but it quickly disappeared when we opened the windows. The musty smell comes from the fact that there is no air conditioning to get rid of the humidity and because of the basement has no dehumidifiers. Put a couple of those in the basement and I think the smell would be minimal. Also the back yard is not usable. The weeds are kind of out of control out there. Still you can’t beat the location.

Fun in Bar Harbor

Close,within walking distance of all the downtime, but far enough away from the bustle to have some quiet space. No air conditioning but lots of open windows and nights were cool.

Cottage convenient to all things Bar Harbor

Our book club group of 7 stayed at this cottage for a 5 day stay. We really enjoyed Bar Harbor and the cottage was within walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants. It is also very close to the Cadillac Mountain entrance of Acadia. The house had all we needed and we especially appreciated the washer and dryer. I wish I’d noticed that they don’t have AC but they do provide a bunch of fans.
