Absolutely lovely! This is a room on the second floor above the garage, with a side staircase. The hosts have thought about literally everything putting a lot of care and effort in making guests feel totally at home. All the instructions for temperature control are there on the table, there is a Keurig with plenty of coffee pods and a kettle. A canister with water sits on the shelf for ease of pouring. A refrigerator is present as well. All sorts of brochures and maps for exploring the area are on the coffee table, along with the hosts’ recommendations for where to eat and what to see. The bed was supercomfy with a warm and heavy blanket. A whole bookcase full of books and board games is along one wall. The hosts were easy to get in touch with right from the start. When I noticed that shampoo was missing, I texted them, and shampoo was brought up right to the door almost immediately. Wifi was superfast as well. Make sure to climb onto the screened-in balcony overlooking the lawn and the trees behind the house. I was there in late fall, so it was a tad too cold to enjoy, but nevertheless it was a charming setting to sip coffee or tea in. It had not been easy to find accommodation close to Acadia NP, I had looked almost everywhere and everything that was left was too expensive until I came across this secluded spot, off the side, but very close.
