We loved the peaceful location. We never heard any noise at night (except for a neighbor outdoor gathering one night). The beds were firm but comfortable. We walked about 15 minutes to the west end of Bar Harbor to rent bicycles. Otherwise, we drove to other destinations. Cell service is poor or non-existent for our phones. Using the wi-fi was essential. TV service was not ideal but we don't watch much anyways.

Old home with few updates. Very load creaky floors and stairs. Walls not well insulated and you hear the creaks whenever anyone is walking around in the bedrooms or using the stairs.Bed Pillows are disgusting and need replacing. Couch pillows are torn and stuffing exposed.Portable A/C unit in upstairs bedroom is Right beside the bed and no way to move unit to a different place in room. While A/C is running it is level with your head while trying to sleep. I needed to turn it off because of the noise it made. The queen bed had a little thin mattress. Visted last week in September, all you heard everyday was the leaf blowing at the local golf course.One plus, 20 minute walk to Bar Harbor. Very limited in town parking.

The house was as described. Very clean with a convenient location to downtown Bar Harbor. The kitchen was well stocked and it was a plus to have laundry on premises. Quiet neighborhood and responsive host.

The location was excellent with a great porch and deck, abutting the woods. It was very close to the park and town center. The kitchen was well stocked with some spices, etc. Towels were great (fluffy) but should stock more tp in the bathrooms. The property manager and owner were responsive to issues. The wood floors are pleasing but very noisy throughout the house. Some of the mattresses need to be replaced - lumpy and worn. Pillows were old. Some of the sofa cushions were also worn and uncomfortable.We enjoyed our stay here but sleeping accommodations need an upgrade,

Great place and great location

Property was just as described. Perfect size for our party of 6 adults. Great location. Comfortable and clean. Would stay here again. Just a couple items worth noting but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay. First, house was very clean except for mouse droppings were found in a 2 kitchen drawers, we washed kitchen utensils before using, including the drawers, but the next day there was more droppings. Second, we bought lobsters to cook at home one night. Lobster pot took way too long to boil because the convection stove wouldn’t recognize the lobster pot on the biggest burner. A smaller burner worked but after 30 minutes the pot was just barely boiling. (Pot was 1/4 full of water). Other pots made for the convection stove worked great.

We had an amazing stay here! The house is wonderful. When we checked in the house wasn't cleaned, one quick phone call and it was just an error, they came right away, apologized, we took off and had a beer downtown and came back to a clean house! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, there was laundry detergent and plenty of pillows and blankets. Of note, some of the beds are very hard or very soft, but we just swapped beds based on our preference and all was well. If you want a home that gets you in and out of Acadia quickly this is the place for you.Thank you for a great stay! I would recommend this home!

Great place to stay

The house was incredibly close to both the park and downtown Bar Harbor, so really central to just about everything. Amenities were exactly as described. The hosts and their local property manager were very responsive to any inquiries. My husband, kids and I had an amazing vacation and the house served as a great home base.

Everything was great. Good location for easy access to Acadia. Happy to have the air conditioners! Clean and comfy. Would be nice to have the WiFi info posted in the house. Would recommend this place to others!

Acadia Family Adventure

Clean, quiet, and as advertised. Perfect home base for our family (4) trip to Acadia. Equally distant from park and town (5 min drive or 20 min walk into Bar Harbor). Would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Acadia.

Family visit to Acadia

Location worked well for us! You can walk into town, but you are in a quiet neighborhood. It's a short bike ride or drive into Acadia. Very close to a great golf course! House is older, and not fancy. It was clean and had comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Check in and out was easy. Kitchen well stocked, and washer/dryer was great!

Family Trip

This was our first time to Bar Harbor. And it did not disappoint. Even though the whale watching tour was canceled due to rough seas, we still had fun by taking a 4 hour tour with Ollie’s Trollies. The house we stayed in was located in a quiet neighborhood, less than 5 minutes to downtown. It was clean with true Maine decor but with modern appliances. Everything was supplied to insure a perfect, stress free stay. The only thing I would suggest (and it’s a very small request) would be to add another tv, as there is only one.

Pleasant, Quiet, and Convenient

Very pleasant stay. Convenient location for heading into town and park. As advertised was quiet and had easily accessible parking. Pack and play available for my grandson which was very helpful.
