When I booked this hotel - I called expedia and asked for assistance. All I needed was a hotel that had a laundromat - we were coming from a 12 stay in Italy and I needed to wash our clothes - we were going on a cruise from Barcelona. I also asked that the hotel be close to the port. BOTH of my requests were overlooked. This hotel is a nice hotel but it is very far from the port and had no laundromat. When I told the front desk person, they looked puzzled why this hotel was suggested. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice hotel and the buffet breakfast is amazing. But if you want to go into the City it will cost you at least 50 euros and the port.....60 euros - this hotel is NOT in Barcelona - it's in a suburb.
Very disappointed with Expedia.

We enjoyed our stay at El Avenida Palace. The hotel’s location and staff were wonderful. The singer in their bar on Friday night (June 6) was phenomenal. We will make sure to stay at El Avenida Palace in the future.
