Superb! A very unassuming, unexpected high-end hotel. Definitely 4* living up to its rating. An oasis in a quiet, safe part of the city (to be honest I never felt unsafe anywhere in the city). It's a Hilton conversion of old apartment block but to a very high spec. Super spacious, high quality furniture, fittings and bathrooms. Everything spotless.
Our suite had 3 beds - a double which was 2 singles joined and sofa bed. Sofa bed was not great for me, sagged in the middle, pillows too soft - I'm sure hotel might have sullied had I bothered to ask.
Staff were really kind and helpful, very attentive, chocolates on the bed every night, luggage store perfect,
Did not eat breakfast here because the breakfast area is a bit dingy and small, and the spread seemed a but skint for the 19euro overhead.
Pool was v nice after a hot day walking around the city. None of the pools in Barcelona seemed very big, this was fair size, but when 10 people are in, it's enough.
The pool area itself very pleasant to sit outside on the garden sofas.
It is a bit out of the way in terms of centrality, but its 5-10mins walk to Metro or main streets with buses. Its a beautiful tree-lined city with lots of shade and cafes and restaurants everywhere. There's a big parking lot around the corner.
Value for money given all of the above mentions £399 in high season for 2 nights was very good value!
