"The fern grove cabin was absolutely perfect for an escape to the mountains! The backyard with the twinkle lights and access to the river was stunning. Beautifully decorated and cozy interior, and the beds were actually really comfortable. So peaceful falling asleep to the sound of the rain and river. "Overall great place! The only area for improvement is the BBQ. It is worn out and cooks extremely slowly. Both tanks of propane were empty when we arrived too :( We did have the foresight to bring our own tank, but ended up using the stove to cook instead because the BBQ was frustratingly slow. "I don't like to give negative reviews but this was the worst experience in vacation rentals I have ever had. The house was filthy! The mattresses were moldy, the kitchen didn't have hardly any dishes (2 plates for a house the can sleep 20). The treehouse floor fell through on one of our children. Luckily he was not injured. Communication was ok until we told them all of the problems then it was crickets! Not a word from the owner to me or VRBO. This house is not fit for guests. But with alot...
