This was our second time staying here and it delivered just like the first time! We love the location as it’s away from the busy Acadia and Bar Harbor traffic so you get peace and quiet but are still close to all the amenities and touristy things to do.

comfy enough

this spot had comfy beds and was a 30-45 min drive to everywhere we wanted to be during our visit to acadia. the kitchen had just the very basics, and it would have been nice to have a laundry basket. it felt very much like an income property, but the water from the tap tasted fresh and we were grateful for the clean air.

Great cottage on the Quietside

Great cottage on the Quietside of the MDI. Perfect for friends with two separate bedrooms and baths. Wonderful screened in porch where we spent most of our time when we weren't exploring Acadia National Park.

Lovely quiteside cottage

My family of 4 very much enjoyed our stay this past week! We love being able to drive into busier tourist areas but stay in quieter areas. The screened in porch was our favorite space...we ate meals, played card games, and took in the sounds of nature. We highly recommend staying at the Creek Cottage in Bass Harbor!

Nice quiet side vacation

If you’re looking to get away from the crowds and hustle around Bar Harbor this is a great option. Stayed here 4 nights with our family of 5 and a dog and it met our needs perfectly. It’s about 30 minutes to the Bar Harbor area so if you want to be closer to the tourist sites this wouldn’t be for you.

Clean, new house - good location for Southwest Harbor

We enjoyed our stay at Creek Cottage. It was perfect for our family. The house was clean and recently built/updated. The amentities were great. The house was well stocked with all of the needed supplies - toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, detergent, etc. While not in walking distance to downtown Southwest Harbor, it was centrally located between the town and Thurston's/Archie's Lobster. Hansen's outpost is convientently located down the street. The screened in porch was a very nice addition and made for a nice place to relax in the morning with a coffee. The beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked, but it was a minimal thing in comparision to all of the other wonderful things that this house had to offer.

Bass Harbor Cottage

The Creek Cottage House was in a great location, close to Southwest Harbor, Acadia and Northeast Harbor. The spacious kitchen and outdoor grill made for a great dinner on our first night and there are many restaurants nearby for dining out. In spite of the fog and rainy weather we all had a wonderful time, including our Golden Retriever!

We found the property to be quite uncomfortable. The beds, pillows, couch, kitchen table, and chairs. It was clean enough, despite a washer full of dirty towels. Odd layout as well.

Maine ( Acadia ) visit

Good location short commute to all attractions, quiet neighborhood, great screened in porch, kitchen was key gathering place, sitting in living room area wasn't great but we were not there to sit in the living room. Entryway was super nice with bench and hooks to hang stuff. All the necessary amenities for what we needed. Acadia was amazing and Bar Harbor very nice little town with a lot to offer. 10-35 minutes to everything Acadia/Bar Harbor

Great location, super clean place in Bass Harbor

Nice stay for our first time in Bass Harbor. 30 mins from Acadia. Great outside porch with gas grill!! Heat took a long time to warm the house so we went to bed with many blankets and then woke up to a warm place. House could use some additional touches such as a coffee table and ottoman. Beds are ok but not the most comfortable. Skylights are great to see the sky at night. Overall good first time in Maine.

Perfect stay, with one recommendation

Location and home was absolutely gorgeous. Favorite part was the screened in porch (though both doors to access outside and grill seemed misaligned. One was difficult to open and the other the lock was broken so you couldn't open). The only recommendation for improvement I would make is to upgrade the comfort of the bed. Mattress was mediocre (with plastic mattress protector similar to a crib mattress), sheets were rough and pillows were flat so made for a bit of uncomfortable sleep after long day hiking.

Clean but glitchy, hard to find

The property was clean and new but our hot water went out less than 24 hours into our three night stay. Though we were able to report the problem, we never had follow up and repairs during our stay. We chose to leave a night early.

Perfect home if bringing a small dog.

Very clean home. Very nice screened in porch. Alarm going off at 3:15am first night sucked after 11 hr drive. No explanation either from Vicasa. Living room couch leaves a lot to be desired. Not comfortable to sit on at all and forget about the pull out inside. Made the pullout bed but never slept on it - was uncomfortable and was stained. Thankfully there are a few blowup mattresses upstairs and that worked out great. Despite the few negatives- would definitely stay here again. Wonderful spot and well kept.

Experienced a late night fire alarm (2x) which I reported and was told the property manager would call me that night. Never heard back that night or for the remainder of our stay.

Not satisfied

First of all, we could not communicate directly with the owner so that was not good. If you arrive in the dark, the house number is not very visible. We drove around a couple of times before spotting the house number. There were no directions as to how to operate the television therefore, we could not watch any sports. There was an issue with the upstairs plumbing. Would not recommend unless better communication is available.

Nice Vacation

The house was very spacious, clean and fully stocked. It was located in a peaceful setting, not far from attractions. We did lose internet for some time. A call was made to Vacasa and the agent was very nice. He had to inform the local contact, however we did not hear from anyone during the week. It did come back on eventually. I would 100% recommend this place to everyone!

A beautiful cottage

A beautiful spacious cottage with lovely patio. Big bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Only thing that's it's a little great l far from and restaurant. If you have a car then there is not such an issue.
