I do not recommend this hotel at all. We arrived after a 7-hour drive with a baby and a child and left within 20 minutes because the condition of the hotel and room was unacceptable. The room had no working lights, water-stained ceilings, missing ceiling tiles, a damaged door, blood-stained carpet, and a large uncovered hole in the heater vent. We also encountered people smoking marijuana right outside the entrance. To make matters worse, the water park was only open on weekends, which was not made clear when we booked. We did not feel comfortable or safe staying there, especially with young children, so we immediately checked out and found accommodations elsewhere. This was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to other families.

The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel building itself needs some repairs. In our room alone, the phone had been removed from the wall and no replacement phone in the room, the molding around the bathroom mirror was falling off, and when you sat on the pull out couch you sank all the way down into the mattress springs. There was no other chair to sit in. There was no coffee maker although the sugar/creamer packets, cups and coffee packets for use in the machine were neatly placed on the counter. But our biggest disappointment was that the waterpark and pool were closed on the days we stayed. It was why we chose that hotel. So we went home with some very disappointed children.

The guest room was worn and tattered, cushions were stained and nasty. Peeling paint, hole in the wall water/mold stains. Beds were lumpy. There is no security, no card needed to enter thru unlocked back door. People hanging out and smoking weed. HVAC was loud. TV remote did not work. Room was clean. Carpet is new. I saw no evidence of bug infestation

Don't expect a fancy hotel with this one. It is somewhat run down. Some door handles were broken, baseboards and carpets messed up, bathroom with rusty ceiling. The rooms are spacious and the staff were great. The breakfast included was a grab-and-go breakfast bar with cereal, granola bars, fruit, and donuts. There is nothing hot for breakfast. Make sure you look at the Palm Island Waterpark hours. It's advertised in the name, but it was only opened for a few hours on the weekend when we came in the summer, so we didn't get to do it.

stay literally anywhere else

upon arrival i thought we must be at the wrong place… it’s nothing like the photos online. extremely rundown, and quite frankly scary. we witnessed a drug deal in the parking lot while unloading our bags from the car. and when we got to our room, we had to turn right around and leave because there was a cockroach right on the wall. NOT family friendly and not safe for kids. we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. only positive was that the staff was understanding and rectified the situation.

Let me start by saying the staff were quite nice so this review is in no way a reflection on them. The only positive thing I can say is the bed was clean, not comfortable, but clean. The room was stuffy and the AC only went to 74 and leaked onto the carpet so of course all you smell is damp carpet. Only two lamps in the whole room so it was dark. Bathroom layout was TIGHT! Had to straddle the toilet if I wanted to close the door. Rust stain in tub, no stopper in tub(had my grandchildren so need to be able to do a bath) and no washcloths at all. Cracked walls and stucco ceilings that have seen better days. Breakfast was seriously lacking. Cold cereal and breakfast bars served on a counter in the lobby. Some attention to the basic needs of this hotel are needed. I’ve been here before for conferences so I know it can be better, someone just has to care.

The room was dirty, the water park wasn't working, there was a dampness problem, and the elevator was out of order—I had to carry everything up four flights of stairs with my daughters. On top of that, the bathroom was dirty. It was my worst experience; I only stayed one night and then left.

This was by far the worst hotel ive stayed in!!! It was me and my 2 young kids ages 5 and 6. Just about nothing was working properly.. elevators, door locks, and even the pool was cautioned off.... The floors were dirty ( white stains at the end of one of the beds) and the amount of black mold throughout the the rooms and bathrooms was highly unsafe for anyone to be in. Granted they tried to get me into a different room before asking for a refund and that room was just as bad.
