Wonderful Maine Stay

Great stay at a lovely little cottage. Wonderful water views enjoyed at night by the fire pit. Extremely quiet and peaceful!! Definitely a great place to stay!

Hideaway Lagoon

This place was wonderful to stay at. The place is in an area that is not busy and more secluded which we loved. The views were fantastic! Loved watching the tide go in and out throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again!

Great view

Great location, easy to make day trips to Boothbay harbor and other sites. Should be noted that the water is sulfur smelling, would suggest bringing your own drinking water. As noted by another reviewer the couch is not comfortable, also the bedrooms are upstairs which might be difficult for older folks with bad knees.

Great house and location. Management group poor communication.

Property was wonderful. Very comfortable and clean. Working with the management company was not a good experience. I received multiple e-mails and texts from them providing me with confirmation of my trip, trip details, early check in etc.....Not one of those communications indicated that they still needed my ID verified. Once I sent my ID for verification on the day of my checkin and it was accepted and confirmed on line, my reservation was cancelled by the management group because they could not verify my identity. I called the management company and they did rectify the situation, but it was very frustrating. Not sure I will book in the future with a property that is managed by a company rather than the owner. Final note: the nest thermostat was nice, but when we arrived the temperature in the home was only 40 degrees and took quite some time to warm up. It might be nice to program the thermostat to be at 60 for check in time. Finally, the water smelled like sulfur which I understand is a common problem near the ocean and other areas, but it might be nice on the information sheet to include what is safe to do with the water.

Overall the place was beautiful, clean and the view is amazing. We were near a lot of gorgeous beaches and downtown Bath which was nice as the beach by our dock was muddy and less appealing for swimming but great for shell hunting! There were little things like the fridge didn’t cool properly as it wouldn’t latch to stay closed the whole way and a couple screens that seemed to be in rough shape. But those things in no way interfered with our stay and just showed that it was used. Everything else was in tip top shape and they provided everything you needed for a successful trip away.

This is a cozy home/cottage with a beautiful view. An overall relaxing location and it appears that some of the inside has recently been upgraded. Four adults during a stay is probably the maximum number of people for this property. The house was clean and has a lovely sea motif. The living room area is small and was challenging for the four of us to get comfortable and, at least during our stay, several of the outlets in that area did not work. However, it looks like it is a work in progress. The kitchen is a good enough size but could use some more everyday basics in the cabinets. A tea kettle would be a nice touch. One other consideration would be to add a couple more outdoor chairs around the firepit. We enjoyed the campfire but only two of us could sit. I suspect there will be more improvements over time and it will be a great spot! We enjoyed the area including Freeport and a Cidery. Lovely weekend overall!

great spot!

Great little hidden spot at the end of a cove. Fantastic views from yard, living room & main bedroom. House is small but laid out well with two bedrooms upstairs and main living space down. Roof has been newly fixed. One major thing that needs updating is the deck. Many soft spots we did not feel comfortable using it or the outdoor table at all. Would definitely stay here again though!
