Be close to everything at this cozy cottage in popular Capital Heights. Only 5-10 mins to LSU Stadium (4 mi), Downtown River Center (2.5 mi), I-10 (1.6 mi), & local Casinos (3-5 mi). A day trip to NOLA French Quarter is only 1.25 hrs (80 mi) away.

Just 1 block from Government St & S Acadian Thruway with popular restaurants & unique shops plus 2 nearby parks with golf courses, playground, dog park & children's museum.

We also boast an active downtown community of museums, cultural arts, restaurants and historical landmarks, plus our state Capitol with scenic and historical grounds and lakeside park. Stroll along the levee of the mighty Mississippi River levee or enjoy llive music on Friday afternoons at Life After 5 - 13 SOCIAL, and much more!

Or take the family on a great day adventure to Drew Brees' Surge Entertainment (4.5 mi, 12 mins), Blue Zoo (7.5 mi, 12 mins), Blue Bayou Waterpark (12 mi, 18 mins), or tour the Capitol building and many other historical sites downtown.

As a recent professional renovation, modern features include all new wood floors, slab granite kitchen counters and custom cabinets, stainless appliances, and whirlpool bath.

The entertainment center and library in the living room includes an audio/video library of over 300 music CDs, DVDs and VHS for all ages, and variety of reading materials. Recreational amenities include indoor and outdoor games, sports equipment, exercise options, and more.

Relax outdoors on the covered patio with a BBQ grill or by the fire pit, all within a privacy fenced rear yard.

Guests have direct 24/7 access to the owner host while your privacy is respected with complete confidentiality during your stay.

2 night minimum applies to weekend Friday and Saturday nights.

Last minute 1-night stays accepted if not previously booked (message host for availability).

There is an added charge for more than 4 guests of $10/person per stay in lieu of a cleaning fee.

Oh my gosh, Sherri is amazing. She checked in on us regularly and made sure we were okay, she even had breakfast in the freezer to feed my son because I forgot to buy eggs! The house is so sweet and the neighborhood is precious. When I walked my dog, so many neighbors stopped to talk to me and we’re so friendly. I love this place and anytime I come to visit, I will be staying here if it’s available.

My family and I desperately needed a comfortable place to stay to recover and refresh during our multi-state move. We do have 2 dogs and we were worried we would not find a suitable place to rest with our dogs (and us). Sheri (our host) responded immediately to my request and provided just the cutest and most comfortable place to rest our heads. If you are looking for a clean, cool and comfy place to stay in Baton Rouge, LA I highly recommend this cottage!!!!!!! I would give it 11 stars out of 10 if I could!! We were so so grateful for the opportunity to stay here and plan to return in the future to actually spend some quality time in the area!!

In town to visit family

We were in town for a few short days to visit family. The water heater had gone out at the house but the owner called ahead to let me know that and offer to either refund part of our money or help us find another place to stay. We chose to stay and she did in fact, refund a partial payment back to us as promised. The house is super cute and close to everything. She even had coffee and waffles stocked for us! We will definately be back the next time we come to town.

Great Stay!

I booked this location for my son who was visiting the area for medical school. He said the place was great. Very clean, quiet and safe. In an ideal location for where he needed to be. Helpful owner. Will stay here again if his travels lead him back.

A wonderful place to stay

I stayed in Sherri’s Capital Heights property in Baton Rouge. The location is nestled close to anything you’d need in Baton Rouge. Work, play, dining, shopping, exercise, it’s all less than a 10 minute drive away. Sherri was friendly and responsive throughout the entire stay. The house was fully furnished and stocked with all the necessities. I didn’t want for anything while I was there. The home is situated in the middle of Capital Heights and Steele Place. It’s an upper scale neighborhood with substantial property values and charm. The neighborhood is one that is safe to walk day and night. Nothing but positive things to say about my stay!!
