"Lesson learned - Don't book a stay with a property that doesn't have a single person on-site or on-call to help. By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key. "We checked in late, but George, one of the newer staff members, was really helpful in walking us through the property's amenities. Breakfast is included with the stay, which is a nice touch, though the spread can feel a bit repetitive if you're staying more than two days — and the hot food bar occasionally leans too salty for our taste. Parking is available right in front of the hotel, though the side lot can get crowded when travel agency buses are parked there. The real highlight for us was the balcony view of the lake — mornings were wonderfully peaceful, with very little noise from the surrounding area."

"Our apartment was large and clean and looked exactly as pictured online. We were visiting during a major heat wave so no air conditioning was pretty rough. The hotel does provide portable fans but they did not work very well so we had to keep windows open which allowed noise and knats at night. Overall we had a nice stay and enjoyed the location which was basically on the train platform. Very convenient."
