Welcome to our enchanting haven in the quaint town of Beatenberg, nestled in the Swiss Alps! Here at SUNGALOW, you can bask in the tranquility of a mountain village while enjoying easy access to the bustling shops of Interlaken.
Our home was lovingly renovated in July 2024 to blend modern comforts with a timeless vintage-chic style. The gourmet kitchen, a cook’s dream, features an oven with air fry and pizza settings, complemented by a pizza stone. We’ve equipped you with cooking and serving items, pots, pans, utensils, refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, microwave, Nespresso machine, moka pot, toaster, pizza stone, raclette machine, and blender. For cooking we provide you with oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and baking paper. Our coffee bar includes an assortment of teas, coffee (for moka pot), Nespresso pods, creamer, and brown sugar to await your morning ritual. Our spacious refrigerator includes a freezer with ice cube trays—no need for extra ice runs.
Relax in our cozy bistro corner with your morning coffee or evening aperitif. Given Beatenberg’s limited dining and shopping options, the kitchen’s utility shines through, making it easy to grab your groceries in Interlaken, just a 20-minute bus ride away.
Step just outside the kitchen and discover a communal patio with a table, chairs and BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining.
Additionally, our wrap-around balcony, accessible from both bedrooms and the living room, offers breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps and Lake Thun. Partially covered, it’s the ideal spot to sip your coffee at one of our two bistro tables or enjoy an evening apero, rain or shine.
Inside, the living room has a smart TV with cable. We have fast WiFi—which comes in handy as cell service can be spotty in Beatenberg. The dining table sits by a window framing the Alps and Lake Thun. Unwind on the plush sofa and ottoman, take in the views, or enjoy a family game night with one of the several board games we supply.
The main bedroom features a king-sized bed with Swiss alp views right from the pillow. A small table and chairs provide a cozy nook for reading or working. All windows are adorned with traditional wooden shutters.
Our fully renovated bathroom offers a walk-in shower, sink, and toilet, with essentials like a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. The second bedroom, with two twin beds, is perfect for kids or another couple.
Professional cleaning ensures fresh sheets and towels for each guest. A communal laundry room with free washer, dryer, and detergent is available for your convenience. Check-in is a breeze with our lockbox, allowing you access anytime after 4pm.
The price INCLUDES the Beatenberg tourist tax, granting you regional discounts and a FREE BUS PASS for easy travel around Beatenberg and Interlaken. The bus stop is right below the apartment, making a car-free stay entirely feasible. The tourist office next door is a treasure trove of local tips and activities.
