The hotel was fine, the room was fine, and the staff was quick to get me checked in and out. The hotel is located right off I-20 so access to and from was easy. The area around the hotel is run down, but that is all of Winnie, the hotel doesn’t have any control over that.

Adequate for a one night stay while traveling. Bedding, plenty of towels and toiletries were very nice. A bit well used but clean. It is a dog friendly property ao there was maybe a bit of dog smell from previous guests. It was affordable and included breakfast.

Property is dated, a pond would be cleaner than the pool. We got to the breakfast just before 9 and it was gone. Everything you would expect for a $50 a night hotel

Stayed 2 nights in room 119. Hotel has potential, but needs some work.Trim was missing near tub, exposing moldy area. 2nd night the toilet wouldn't flush. Although not a big deal, TV was only in black and white. Bed was comfortable though.

The room was ok. Nice large fridge to store drinks and snacks. Beds we’re comfortable. The bathroom was disgusting. There was a sticky substance on the counter tops with hair in it. Completely gross. Walls and shower had a film like they haven’t been cleaned in ages.

This stay was part of a longer trip. I recommend this LaQuinta for ALL Travelers who are traveling with pets and kids - needing a simple & quick stop to refresh and continue on their way; or enjoy an extended Summer stay to enjoy a swim in the pool. This LaQuinta is perfectly located at the halfway point between Slidell, LA and San Antonio, Tx (with a Buc-ee’s 30 minutes more to the west as you drive toward San Antonio). To stretch your legs after your long drive, there’s a simple Chicken Restaurant adjacent to the Inn. For Your Comfort, The Inn is under a steady remodel. The exterior is coming along fabulously - along with eye popping colors in the common areas and rooms.

Staff was good and helpful. The property is old and it shows rust inside elevator, my room 121 had the restroom cabinets doors all gone, sink was cracked, and some of the trim was coming off the wall. The pool for the hotel is small, it had green on all 4 corners and at some point it had a hot tub that they just filled with concrete instead of fixing it. The chairs are old and none had a umbrella. There's a very small bbq pit falling apart. Also no ice in any of the 3 ice makers they have when I stayed.

Check in was fast and great. we slept amazing. Sadly there was no hot water in the morning in the shower but oddly there was in the sink. Breakfast was your typical eggs sausage potatoes waffles etc etc and was refilled since a large group had beaten us to it (probably like the hot water).
