Lovely Inn room was small but very cosy and comfy. Staff were exceptional right from the bar staff(especially Bill) through to the chef.
Would like to stay agsin
Pub with rooms, with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water.
Evening staff were warm and welcoming, great evening meal. Breakfast was slightly less relaxed as the waitress was slightly overwhelmed having 4 guests.
An extension lead for the kettle in the bedroom would be useful. Also lots of cooking smells in the room and corridors due to the kitchen door being open all the time.
Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Great property surrounding countryside and quiet area. Great food and lovely rooms. We had a brilliant overnight stay, would definitely come again.

Room nice basic and clean loverly bar and restrauant area very nice friendly staff
Great place, good food and very generous portions. Could use some better amenities in the room, coffee machine etc . Comfortable bed, great view.
Great bar with lots of choice. Epic food and comfortable rooms.
Food smells from kitchen hits the rooms which is a bit of a negative.
Nether the less positives outweigh the negatives and will stay again
We didn't have breakfast this time but both times before the food is excellent. We left to meet our daughter this time.staff frindly and gelpful. Nice room , foid in the restaurant very good
From the outside the property had old style appeal and parking which was a positive however when taken to our room this was at the back of the property and you had to pass washing hanging online, a laundry shed and general toot and tat. The entrance to the stairway to the room went past the back of the kitchen where the door was permanently open so you heard all the usual professional kitchen noises.. The stairway to the room smelt of cooking fat and there were dead flowers on the window with dead flies. The room needs a lick of paint as the paint was peeling in several areas. There were areas of ceiling where there were stains. The room also had an odour of damp dog. The springs on the mattress had gone so we had uncomfortable night sleep. The shower tray was blocked so we had to keep stopping the shower to wait for it to empty to prevent it overflowing. On a positive note, it a nice pub and restaurant, but more consideration needs to be taken with the sleeping facilities. I would also add that all the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
A last minute event meant the we needed somewhere to stay so we decided to treat ourselves to Dinner Bed & Breakfast at the White Lion. It was a bit busy when we arrived but the staff were welcoming though we only go directions to our room as the lad needed to get back to the bar. The room was lovely, generally well appointed. We met my sister in law and her husband for dinner and the food was tea good, nicely presented and delicious too. A great seasonal menu, too full to have dessert. The bed was very comfortable though the pillows weren’t my favourite sort. Breakfast next morning was excellent, the really know how to poach an egg. I’d certainly recommend it for a little treat.
Bar was busy when I arrived, with live music. Made to feel very welcome and shown to my room. Had a pint and then an early night.
Will definitely stay again as need to try the food next time
Arrived a little early for checking in but it waan issue. Very pleasant staff member checked us in. Spacious room with a fan and nice modern shower bathroom. Amenity tray provided. Kettle does have a short length lead which just about reaches the power socket. Ate in restaurant very nice meals provided. Would consider using this place again if back in the area.

The food was excellent although the breakfast should be included in the price. The notice on pub wall states bed and breakfast. I had to pay extra. The staff were helpful and courteous, bathroom excellent, bed etc. most comfortable. The actual room needs updating and decorating. Unfortunate part was having to exit pub and walk round back of building to access rooms after mounting 15 steps, and back again to the restaurant.
I would give total experience 6-7 out of 10. If in the area
would probably stay there again.
